BILLS BULLSHIT
Bill’s Bullshit is a daily journal of William Fontaine de La Tour Dauterive’s life in which he vents about the things in his daily life that cause him some irritations or annoyances. Once a day he will write about these things in hopes of getting his anger out on pages instead of the football field.

I was visiting my mother at her home this weekend and as she was throwing a few things away in the garage, she came across an old ring box. She opened it to find a high school championship ring. My ring. I thought I had lost it long ago and there it was! The first thing I did was put the ring on and I still have not taken it off. I don’t think I ever want to take it off again. I remember the football game like it was yesterday. We were playing at Qualcomm Stadium at ten in the morning on a Friday. The whole school took the day off and all the students were bussed to the stadium from the high school. I’m front of our entire student body, we were about to play against an undefeated team that had become a strong powerhouse in recent years. They had some big, mean linebackers and linemen on their team that I was going to be playing against all day. But I wasn’t afraid, none of us were. You see, our team was coming into the game undefeated as well, however we had been destroying every team we played against and it was never really a close game all season. We weren’t taking them lightly, we knew how good of a team they were. But we definitely weren’t afraid of them. That game turned out to be a defensive battle as each offense had trouble getting anything going. I was playing lights out football all game and came up with a lot of key plays on both sides of the ball. At halftime we were up 3-0, and felt really good going into the locker room. The second half, the other team scored a touchdown and took the lead. But it didn’t last long and we answered back with two touchdowns of our own. By the end of the game we had won 17-7 and the fans were going crazy. I couldn’t believe it and I celebrated with my friends and brother who was also on the team. We ate at Seau’s restaurant after the game to celebrate with our families as well and we had a huge celebration. I can’t believe I have this ring back after thinking I had lost it forever. I’m going to make sure that I don’t lose his ring ever again. Man do I miss those days. This ring brings back all the good memories I had playing football with my friends. It brings back a time where me and my friends were so good, that no one was able to beat us that year. I think it’s hilarious the ring doesn’t fit properly because I got it measured when my finger was still swollen from the game. I can’t remember a happier feeling than when we won the game in front of all the students and had our fans storm the field. We had finally brought a championship back to the school after having not won anything in a decade. And that was the start of a whole new powerhouse and the school was even able to win a state championship ring just two years later. Unfortunately I had already graduated but it was awesome seeing the team win the championship again. Our ring is nice, but I’ll be honest it’s nothing compared to the ring that the state championship team won. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t jealous. Their ring has a long more diamonds on it. But hey they deserve it, we didn’t even have the opportunity to win the state championship.

“My name is Dauterive comma Bill, I am also insane.”
