We are now getting closer to the Draft and as a newly appointed DSFL GM this will be the last Mock Draft I'm allowed to make for this offseason.
We have a trade and new draft positions for the playoff teams, so this mixes things a bit!
I know that at least 2 Picks are surefire, Can you find out which picks I mean?
1.1 Baltimore Hawks - Pasta The Turtle - LB
This is the easiest pick Baltimore can make! Pasta is hands down the best player in this draft! He will be the cornerstone of the Defense for a loooong time! For me this is a 100 % safe 1st OA pick. Pasta is in contention for DROY and maybe even LBOY. He is part of the Portland Rookie LB Duo Spicy Pasta.
1.2 Baltimore Hawks - Lenard Graf - TE
Now, I know putting myself in 2 OA is a bit weird but I’m pretty sure this will happen. It makes total sense as well, Baltimore is getting ready for a championship and they only have a couple holes to fill! With only 2 WRs on the roster and another TE that is mostly focused on Possession Targets, this could be very interesting for Lenard Graf. Who could even get some snaps at WR!
1.3 New Orleans Second Line - Zephyr “Tater” GreyWolf - LB
NOLA has an easy pick as well. They need a LB and just take the best LB left at 3 OA!
Zephyr is earning really well and will probably stay down in the DSFL to help LON make a run for it next season. NOLA found a good piece for their defense!
1.4 San Jose Sabercats - Deshawn Penne - TE
With Lenard Graf already on the board, SJS do the only right thing for them, pick up the other sick Tight End, Deshawn Penne. YKW will hate this pick, because they were the other team that really needed a good TE this Draft. Maybe YKW will focus on a trade now to get a good TE. This might give us another trade in this draft! How exciting!
1.5 New York Silverbacks - Doc Fireball - DE
NYS picks up the current 1st round pick in the DSFL. He proved why he was a first round pick with excellent earning during the season! NYS will have a lot of fun with this pick. He will probably stay down for one more season as well! Which will help LON even more.
1.6 Philadelphia Liberty - De’Aaron Harper II - CB
Again, like in the other two Mock Drafts, this could be Modern Nazgul as well. That completely depends on the Locker Room Fit. Philly will be very happy that they were able to pick a really good Cornerback to fill one of their bigger needs!
1.7 Yellowknife Wraiths - Escanor Sama - WR
If they can’t pick up a much needed TE then YKW will fill one of the other holes in their roster. YKW will be entering a rebuild season and this will give Escanor Sama a chance to grow and be ready for the call up! YKW can be really happy with this pick!
1.8 Berlin Fire Salamanders - Modern Nazgul - CB
Berlin picks up the other sick Cornerback to improve their defense. Nazgul had one hell of a season after switching from WR to CB after the DSFL Draft. He will be a menace for the DSFL WR next season. Looking forward to seeing what he can do with Minnesota and later Berlin!
1.9 Sarasota Sailfish - Troy Barnes - WR
Sarasota picks up the best Wide receiver left in the draft. I got to be honest TPE wise it was close between Barnes and Sama but Sama had such a good rookie Season in the DSFL. He is in contention for OROTY!
1.10 Arizona Outlaws - Lalu Muhammad Zohri - RB
Arizona gets one heck of an offensive weapon! Zohri was a huge cornerstone of the Minnesota Playoff run! He is also in contention for OROTY! Arizona will probably let him run free in the DSFL for one more Season to have him better prepared for stepping up!
1.11 Austin Copperheads - Spicy Ron - LB
Austin picks up the other half of the Spicy Pasta duo with Spicy Ron. Both terrorized opposing DSFL defenses. They both got 10 Sacks in their rookie Season!! Even though the other part of the Duo got pick 1 OA, spicy Ron can still be very happy about being picked 11 OA. He lands on a really good team that will challenge for the playoffs next season as well!
1.12 Chicago Butchers - Garfield Despacito III - DT
Now looking back at my Draft it makes a lot more Sense to put Despacito back to his old ISFL Team, Orange County. (At least I think his old player played there) But Chicago doesn’t have a lot of holes to fill. So they go ahead and fill a need for them with their first round pick. I can see them picking up Arnie Rufus here as well!
1.13 Yellowknife Wraiths - Kalam Mekhar - LB
I know this pick is going to happen, I just don’t know when. It will be either 1st or 2nd round. Mekhar is one of the YKW GMs and fills a huge need for YKW at the LB position. I can see him switch positions, to fill more glaring holes. One interesting thing to keep an eye on. Zoot’s last player was a Tight End. YKW needs a Tight End and weren’t able to pick one up in the 1st round. It will be very interesting to find out if Zoot would be willing to switch to Tight End… again.
1.14 Colorado Yet - Mrs. “Stacks” McHits - OL
As I’ve said in the last two Mocks, this is one of the more obvious picks in the draft. Colorado picked up the other half of the McHits duo last season and I’m pretty sure they wanna combine the two again! On top of that, Mrs McHits is the leading OL Player TPE wise. Her rookie season wasn’t as good as other OL Rookies tho.
2.1 Orange County Otters - Mauler Panda - OL
Orange County picks up a huge need with Mauler Panda. He will help them build a strong Offensive Line for the future. He might stay down one more season, all though I could see OCO calling him up early to replace one of their OL bots.
2.2 Orange County Otters - Arnie Rufus - DT
As I said earlier, I could see Garfield Despacito III being picked up here as an ex OCO Player. OCO will improve their team massively with this young Dtackle. I think Arnie Rufus will stay down an extra season to terrorize opposing Offensive linemen.
2.3 New Orleans Secondline - Dallas Fort-Worth - OL
NOLA picks up an absolute Stud up at this position. Dallas Fort-Worth had one heck of a Season. He was the rookie with the most pancakes and only 2 Sacks allowed! As a first generational Player I could see him going a bit higher than the other Offensive Line players. I think this will be the end of the run on Offensive Line players for now.
2.4 San Jose Sabercats - Lance Witt - S
With the news that LaDamien Beck won’t be as active as first thought, Lance Witt will be the first Safety off the board. SJS picks up a decent user who just breached the 200 TPE mark. In this draft, that’s a good 2nd round pick. Hopefully he will fit in well into the SJS Team and improve their team for a while.
2.5 Orange County Otters - Dragazor Blaze - CB
OCO has a need for Cornerback and decides to pick up the best Cornerback left. This player is a bit lower TPE wise but it’s a need for OCO and they decide to gamble a bit here. Dragazor Blaze will probably stay down in the DSFL for a season or two.
2.6 Philadelphia Liberty - Herc Kirby - TE
I’m not totally happy with this pick but Philly decides to gamble here as well. They pick up one of the best Tight Ends left in the draft. Philly does not have a lot of holes left. So they decide to shoot for a solid Tight End duo. This could be a gamble that might pay off very well for Philly.
2.7 Yellowknife Wraiths - Dakota Grossman - CB
YKW decides to fill one of their many other holes and go for the best Cornerback left in the draft. This still leaves a glaring hole at Tight end for YKW but we’ll see what they do about that!
2.8 Berlin Fire Salamanders - John Riggins - RB
Berlin couldn’t be more happy with this draft so far! They have two huge needs, CB and RB. They now filled both needs with some studs. I would almost call John Riggins falling to the 2nd round a steal. We have 3 really good RBs this draft but only a couple teams that need Rbs.
2.9 Sarasota Sailfish - LaDamien Beck - S
Even though Beck said he won’t be as active as before due to real life. Sarasota still will take a chance here. Beck is one of the top earners this draft and he might come back quicker than most teams and himself expect. We’ll see how this gamble works out for Sarasota!
2.10 Arizona Outlaws - Jack Lewis - K/P
Arizona had a similar draft compared to Berlin. They were able to fill two holes with two absolute Studs! In the first they picked Zohri and in the second they picked Jack Lewis, who is one of the best earners in this draft!
2.11 Austin Copperheads - Jack Endson - TE
This might be a bit of a reach as well but Austin doesn’t have a lot of holes to fill. They decide to gamble for a decent TE2 to give their Tight End position a lot more value.
2.12 Chicago Butchers - A Kicker - OL
Chicago also doesn’t have a lot of holes to fill so they decide to bolster their Offensive Line with a decent prospect. There are not a lot of OL Players left so Chicago jumps the gun and picks up the best Prospect left at OL.
2.13 Honolulu Hahalua - Franklin Turtle - DT
With their first selection in this draft being so late, Honolulu have not a lot of studs left to choose from. They pick up Franklin Turtle who will hopefully be a big help at the Defensive Tackle position!
2.14 Colorado Yeti - Rocky Rhoads - RB
I’m not completely happy here but I can’t see Rocky Rhoads drop out of the 2nd Round. He is the last of the RB Trio and he is earning well. This could be a bit of a steal for Colorado if they find a spot for him on the roster. I could see Rocky switching positions but I don’t know for sure.
That concludes my Mock Draft Season. Sadly I won’t be able to post anymore Mock Drafts. I would have loved to! I can’t wait to watch the draft and I also can’t wait to draft myself in the DSFL for the first time. To all my fellow Rookies, enjoy the draft and hopefully you’ll land on the right team!
