The Philadelphia Liberty are currently a perfect 4-0, the only team yet to lose this season. Weirder still, the team finished the preseason a perfect 4-0, which means they not only have a perfect regular season record, but also have yet to lose a game since the start of season 32. That said, all good things must come to an end, and given the amount of tension that appears to be brewing in the Philadelphia Liberty camp, especially surrounding Cedric Wilkins II, I would say we are nearing a tipping point for the collapse of a season that, as of now, seems like one destined for excellence. A loss to the Colorado Yeti this evening seems like the right brand of chaos to begin tipping the scales, and a winless week to follow will send the team into a death spiral. Ultimately, we’ll see a Philadelphia Liberty organization plummeting towards the cellar of the NSFC, finishing 6-10, and perhaps even losing their star rookie to free agency.
The season for the Yellowknife Wraiths has started poorly, we have won zero games out of four. Before the season even started we knew the year will be a difficult one. I think the pre-season also highlighted that as we won only one game, but even then I think going zero and four to start it all is not good enough. We got our asses kicked by Philly and Colorado. Berlin games alright, or it was closer at least, but then the San Jose game was a poor game again. Consistency has not been there so far, we have struggled against most teams we have faced.
The season is far from over, but we need to start winning and fast. The standings are relatively tight still. If we win the next three games, we could fly up in the standings. Philly is 4 and 0, but then the rest of the teams ahead of us are between three and one wins. Everything is still in our own hands.
My season has been ok. I have the longest punt to my name, but other than that I have not shown anything too magical. I think I need to step my game up as well. Nowadays I'm one of the oldest players on the team, so I need to lead by example and show the younger players in the team what it takes to turn these tough starts around.
I quit! They put me out there without telling me what to do! I thought I was supposed to just hold onto the guy in front of me like a scrum in rugby. I kept grabbing my guy, holding on and beating the hell out him, but the refs kept throwing yellow flags and my team mates were yelling at me the whole time.
At halftime they told me I'm supposed to "sack" the quarter back. So first thing I did was run at him and punch him right in the nuts. MORE FLAGS.
I don't get this stupid sport at all. It's like that ribbon dancing shit in the Olympics, they just keep throwing these flags around whenever I do anything. I'm just done with this, I'm out of here, I'm going home.
Written option: For the people that have been waiting for more sim-related point tasks, this is for you. The first few weeks of the ISFL and DSFL have happened already and the season is completely underway. How has your team started off so far, and how do you think the season will pan out for you all? Other than your team, how has your player been performing so far, and what do you predict for the end of season in regards to your performance.
The Honolulu Hahalua have started the season with a record of 3-1. Losing their last game away against the Arizona Outlaws. Which was always going to be tough game, but seeing as we basically went 3-0 before that. I think we are finishing the season 15-1. It just all adds up if you really think about it. The squad has just come off their first ever Ultimus win and they wanna keep the wheels on the bus rolling. So having a banging regular season and then steamrolling the playoffs is the only possible outcome. My player has been averagely shit so far, gotten a few PD's, but sadly my player doesn't get their dick sucked off so much that he has like 6 pd and interception games. So I will just have to be happy with an average start and hope that the dick sucking will begin at some point. Which you know you would hope to have seen after basically being the best CB last season, the sim giveth and taketh eh.
There have been four games played in the sim so far for each team and I'd say the Copperheads are off to a solid start. We're 3-1 right now and average over forty (40!) points per game when we win, which I'd say makes our offense look pretty strong. After a disappointing end in the playoffs last season it's reassuring to see the team start off hot again. As far as my player goes he hasn't started a game yet in any position due to the fact that he was already coming in as a nickel back and now one of our former safeties converted to corner back and is taking pretty much all of the snaps.
I'm not too worried because my player is still pretty young and I've got plenty of TPE to earn. I expect to make a huge jump in improvement by the end of the season and I can't wait to see my player's overall spike up so I can go back to watching him in the sims.
