After a tough loss in week 7 last night to the Austin Copperheads, the Colorado Yeti find themselves at 4-3, one game out of first place in the NSFC but still strongly in the playoff hunt. One thing to note is two of the three losses have come against the strongest teams in the league, Berlin and Austin as previously mentioned. The playoff race could be tough in the NSFC with strong group of teams at the top and the Sailfish looming in fourth currently.
As for Manhattan Project, things seem to have picked up where they left off last season, as Project looks to be in decent shape to repeat as a pro bowl and all-pro center. Project is 13th in the league with 45 pancakes, on pace for over 100 to eclipse last season's 95. More importantly, Project has not allowed a sack on the season, keeping his seasons long streak alive.
A few short seasons ago the Norfolk Seawolves were bottom feeders in the DSFL, things were looking rough, fans were getting restless and players were getting frustrated. Last season the Seawolves finally made the playoffs and surprised a lot of people by doing so, now as they sit at 4-0 yes you read that right 4-0 we might as well call it a season and give Norfolk the trophy.
Norfolk is led by its number one defense which has only given up an average of 18 points per game (second in the DSFL) is only allowing 58 rushing yards per game (first in the DSFL) however they do give up an average of 268 yards through the air which is almost bottom of the barrel in the DSFL.
The Norfolk offense is also firing on all cylinders averaging 43 points per game (first in the DSFL) 143 rushing yards per game (third in the DSFL) and 276 passing yards per game which is good for second in the DSFL. With all phases of their game operating at such a high level Norfolk is absolutely the favorite to win the Ultimini.
The Kansas City Coyotes has not had the ideal start we wanted starting off 2-2. We came out looking great at the start of the season winning our first 2 games with no problem. Our last two games havent been the same week 3 we were going against the Grey Ducks and going into the 3rd quarter we were up 20 points but coming out we just couldnt click anymore for some reason and week 4 we just had nothing going for us. Going forward I see us getting our stuff together end up going 11-3. My player (Zane Cold) on the other hand has been looking good so far only getting better and better with each update. Me and Yaji Robe have to be the best rb duo in the league Him being number 5 and me being 6 in rushing yards at the moment. By the end of the season though I see myself ending up top 3 with around 8 rushing tds.
Well looking at the San Jose Sabercats, I'm very impressed with how we have done so far! 4-3 almost half way through the year, I'm happy with a pace of 8-8 or 10-6 for us, which would be middle pack or borderline playoff team. It's a very pleasent start and I think our next game against the Sarasota Sailfish should be a big one, because a win would boost our playoff chances a ton and bring us back to greatness. For me personally, Jaycee Higgins has been one of the weirdest players this season! With 36 receptions, 382 yards, it's around middle of the pack in those stats...but the touchdowns...I have 7, which is tied 2nd in the league! For a rookie that's really good and can only mean I should be a touchdown machine for years to come! I think I'll end around 80 catches, 900 yards, and 10 touchdowns is my best guess. For San Jose I'm going for 10-6 with 3rd place spot in our conference.
Philly is 5-2, and we are going to win the Ultimus. Long have we awaited the glorious S32, and the time is upon us. I went to the Oracle of Delphi and they predicted an Ultimus win as long as I sacrificed my first born, and I did that immediately without a second thought. Those two losses were literally just we could pretend other teams have a chance to beat us. I just had to take a 10 minute break from writing this to laugh at the notion of other teams being better than us. As for DeSoto? Well he's doing well being the radio man for the defense, telling players to go this way and that way, and because of that he'll never record as many stats as his other linebacker brethren. However, that might change soon, since he has a trick up his sleeve this season. That trick? Steroids. Roided DeSoto is going to get probably 16 tackles, 5 sacks, and 3 interceptions a game. He will later be disqualified, but the damage will have been done. He'll have injured every other offensive player in the league.
