The start of the New Orleans Second Line's season has been rough, to say the least. We're currently at 2-5, with a point differential of -61. We managed to steal a win against New York in Week 6, but overall we're struggling to win games. That could change in this last half of the season, however; our next three games are against teams with a combined record of 5-16, and even though two of those games are on the road, those two teams aren't great at winning on their own turf. We'll really need those wins, however, because the end of our season will be a nightmare. We play at Honolulu in Week 14 and at home against Austin in Week 15. Not only are both of those conference opponents currently at 6-1, but Honolulu is undefeated when playing at home, and Austin is 3-1 on the road. Those will be two tough games, and we need to get several wins under our belt by then if we want any prayer at making the playoffs. Individually, Squidward Tentacles is having a solid sophomore season. He's caught 32 passes for 312 yards (for a 9.8 yard average) and has scored 3 touchdowns. He's got quite a bit of time before he can be a WR1, but so far he's been exactly the player that the Second Line need him to be. Some quick math indicates that at this rate, he'll finish the season with 73 catches for 713 yards and 7 touchdowns. Those numbers could certainly stand to be better, but it would be a marked improvement over his Season 31 performance, and that's really all you can hope for at the end of the day.
