This is my ISFL rookie season, fresh off 3 seasons with London, and now we are already talking about retirement? Well, if it was time for QB Dustin Parmelee to retire and hang up the cleats, what would be in store for him for life after football? Well of course, it would be more football. I would like to say he would follow the footsteps of Tony Romo and get a gig announcing games in the booth. However, I don’t think that will be close enough to the game for him. Parm carries a lot of knowledge about the game of football, and after reading defenses for the entirety of his career, and dissecting play after play, it would only be proper for Dustin Parmelee to get a head coaching job. He would have to pay his dues though and probably start off as a QB Coach or an offensive coordinator position unless he was lucky enough to interview for and receive a head coaching bid. Not many first-time coaches are that lucky, so just like the DSFL and ISFL, I will take the correct steps to become a successful head coach. That’s what Parm would be doing after he hung up his cleats. Trade them in for a clip board.
