Blackstone has certainly been thinking more and more about retirement lately. He knows that he only has a season or so left. Two at the most. But he knows that he wants to be all in for his team and so has been trying to stay in the moment as much as possible too. In order to achieve this he has been considering staying on with the team for a period of time after retirement as an assistant to the defensive line coach. He doesn't feel like he owes anything to the game at this point, or even the Colorado Yeti for what its worth, but he can't deny the fact that he simply loves the game and couldn't bear the thought of being away from it for more than a year or so. But this time, the commitment can be on his terms: he can control his schedule, his branding, and his endorsements. He sees it as an opportunity to recharge and hopefully fall in love with the sport in a new and exciting way.
