It is not a well-kept secret that Juan Domine is in his final season before retirement, so his mentors have been out of the league for several seasons now. Domine's main influence after getting drafted to the Chicago Butchers was Mike Hockhertz, a fellow linebacker who was one of the two initial players recently inducted into the Butchers' Hall of Fame. Juan remembers watching livestreams of players like Hockhertz, Quentin Bode, and Douglas Quaid while he was in college, and their self-sacrificing style of play always stuck with them. Always taking control of the middle of the field, clogging up running lanes while freeing up their teammates for more flash plays on the outside. The league's style of play has evolved in a more balanced way since then, causing Hockhertz to remain as the Butchers record holder in tackles where he will remaing for many more seasons to come. Although Domine has played nine seasons for Chicago, he would likely need two more seasons to surpass Hockhertz who currently ranks tenth all time.
