As with every season, I would like to wish our retiring Butchers a happy retirement, and send them out with a list of some of their accomplishments!
First on the list, we have Defensive Tackle Daymond Brooks. Brooks is one of the longest tenured DTs of all time. My favorite part is that he could have gone for so much longer. He is one of the very very few players that elected to be a DSFL lifer and then proceeded to have an ISFL career that spanned a full decade. Brooks’s stats may not seem that great at first, but I think that it should absolutely be noted that he is #1 in every single team career stat among Defensive Tackles in franchise history. Absolutely incredible.
#8 CHI Tackles
T5 CHI TFLs
#3 CHI Sacks
T3 CHI Safeties
T6 CHI Forced Fumbles
Next up on our list of retirements is linebacker Alejandro Chainbreaker. I have to preface this by saying that Chainbreaker technically did not retire after the season. However, I do think that it’s probably unlikely that Chainbreaker gets signed to an active roster for the coming season. Regardless of whether Chainbreaker finds a team for one last season or not, his career began with the Butchers, and his career with the Butchers has come to an end. With this being the case, I think that it’s only right to include Alejandro Chainbreaker in this list. Despite a rocky start to his career, Alejandro Chainbreaker beat the odds and played an absolutely MASSIVE role in the Butchers defense from S27 until his last season with the team in S33. Some may say that he played 3rd fiddle in the Butchers LB corps for that time, but I think that the other two members of that group, Juan Domine and Wasrabi Gleel, would agree that they couldn’t have reached the heights that they reached without Alejandro Chainbreaker doing the dirty work. Let’s take a look at Chainbreaker’s career accomplishments.
#9 CHI Career Tackles

#3 CHI Career Forced Fumbles
T6 CHI Career Recovered Fumbles
T2 CHI Season Forced Fumbles

T8 and T9 in CHI Season Sacks
T3x2 CHI Game Sacks
The last retiree on our list is far and away the most decorated player on this list. If I’m being honest, they are one of the most decorated players in all of Butchers history. Of course, I’m talking about Juan Domine. Joining the Chicago Butchers in the S24 ISFL Draft as the first overall pick, Domine was somehow able to exceed expectations, even when the bar was set so high. The Butchers had already had an all time great linebacker in Mike Hockhertz, but Juan Domine was determined to make a name for himself. Let’s check out the long, long line of accomplishments that the Butchers linebacker managed to rack up over the course of their 9 year ISFL career.
