"First and 10 for the Dallas Birddogs after Norfolk was able to score with that big pass." The Norfolk Seawolves radio announcer says as the Birddogs set up thier play "Norfolk would need a stop you'd imagine to finally get a second victory in what has been a very long season for the Seawolves. Ok here we go Marciano takes the snap and steps back a little bit with McPherson coming for him AND JACK MCPHERSON GETS TO THE QUARTERBACK AND HE FUMBLES but it does look like Marciano was able to recover his own fumble. However that was Jack McPherson first sack and forced fumble in a Norfolk uniform and he is definitely happy after that!"
Jack McPherson points to the sky after finally recording his first sack of his DSFL career in his 3rd game in Norfolk. While the game is not a done deal yet, he had an amazing performance thus far and was a big reason that Norfolk would go onto win the game and get thier second victory of the season. The team was all smiles as they headed back into the locker room, slapping high fives to the Norfolk fans along the way. They were slapping high fives to each other in the locker room as well along with a lot of hugs. The coach would eventually manage to get everyone's attention as he prepared to hand out the game ball.
"I wish I could give this Defensive game ball to the whole defense honestly. You all played hard and did what you could to help us get that win, and special honorary mention goes to Jack McPherson for recording his first sack and forced fumble of his career. I am sure there will be a lot more coming up for you as you rip through the DSFL and eventually the ISFL. But this Defensive game ball will go to Jon Montroy for his quick pick six and 8 tackles!" Jon is handed the belt and shakes the coaches hand as the team claps for him.
"He damn well deserves it." Jack says "that pick six was one of the big differences in the game."
"Yeah without that opening message we would probably not win that game honestly." The coaches admits as he laughs a bit nervously. "However now it is time for the Offensive game ball which has to go to our quarterback Ozamataz Buckshank. We barely ran that ball and asked a lot from him tonight, and he played a clean and mistake-free game all the way through with 4 touchdowns and 434 yards. He also made his season total of touchdowns and interceptions equal at 18, so congratulations Ozamataz." The quarterback takes the game ball as the team claps for him as well.
"If I may say something as well" Jack starts as the team let's him talk in the middle of the huddle "my coach in college once said this after we won a hard-fought game after a losing streak: 'Alright boys that was a great performance! Now there are more games ahead. We can get another win or two. There is a possibility in that. Let's keep this energy for the next game'. So let's keep this winning attitude up for the next game because I do not know if we can actually make playoffs, but getting a few victories and some momentum into next season would be really good for us!"
The team cheers in agreement as they look pumped up and prepared to leave the locker room. Jack McPherson stretches his slightly dote shoulders before heading out as well, for a date with the Kansas City Coyotes is coming up, and he wants to be as prepared as he can be.
