After nine seasons as General Manager for Philadelphia, I have decided that it is time to step down and let another user have a shot at running the team.
I don't want to get too long-winded here, but just wanted to say that all of the people I've had the pleasure of meeting during my tenure in Philly that I am beyond thankful to have had the opportunity to get to know you. The last nearly year and a half were truly great, and while I'll definitely miss it, I knew it was time to say goodbye.
A few quick shoutouts to people who helped me along the way.
@mithrandir @SwankyPants31 - You guys brought me into sim testing in Tijuana and got me thinking about that side of the league. Thank you (and curse you) for doing that.
@iamslm22 and @iStegosauruz - I remember my interview with you guys like it was yesterday. I thought I sounded like an idiot throughout the entire thing, but I guess I said something enough to fool you guys into think I could run a team. Thank you for giving me the chance.
@Hallmonitor_20 @juniped @Jimi64 @J0EB - When I first stepped into the locker room you all made me feel welcome and like I belonged. I can't thank all of you enough for the help you've given.
@negs - It feels poetic my first pick as GM should be the one to replace me. I believe in you and know you're going to do a great job.
@"ShnarlyDude" - What more can I say? You were the one that suggested I just put my name in for the job. Thank you for pushing me and for being along for the ride the whole way.
To all of the current and former Philadelphia players who have been a part of the team during my time here: thank you all for your dedication and the love you bring to this team and the league. You make all of this worth doing.
To my fellow General Managers, Head Office members, and other league management leaders: Thank you for everything you do to make this league what it is. It takes a lot of time, work, and love to keep this place running, and I can't thank you all for keeping this community what it is.
With that, I want to say thank you again to everyone here. Be excellent to each other.
Much love.
