The S35 class is shaping up to be a very exciting class. Besides a good amount of recreates, this class also boasts a ton of amazing, active new users who are sure to make their mark on this league. With the DSFL draft taking place on Saturday the 30th of this month I want to take a moment to look ahead and just do some silly mock predictions. This is all in good fun and I might completely miss someone who has a strong case for going first overall. This is mostly based on what I have seen in the rookie discord from these people. I will try and make a quick assessment of what a team might need in terms of positions and stuff, but this is the DSFL and this is a huge class, so that feels really moot to do. As most teams are going to be able to pick up a handful of amazing players regardless. This will also only be for the first round, because hot damn imagine writing a full written mock draft on this entire draft. I am not crazy enough to do that, but hey maybe that is something you, dear reader, would like to do.
Round 1, Pick 1 - Norfolk Seawolves - Teemo Swift @Repgnar - Safety
Personally Repgnar might be one of the users to pick up the integrity of this league in the shortest amount of time. I swear by their second day in the rookie discord they were already an active part of helping out other users with any questions they had. They have been nothing but absolutely wonderful so far. They have been active in the media scene so far dropping 2 media pieces of solid size and work. Having amassed a solid bank account so far. To add on to that, they have been earning very nicely and all that without any equipment purchases so far.
Round 1, Pick 2 - London Royals - Xavier Valorian @XaveValor - Defensive Tackle
They might not be Ferdinand von Aegir, but XaveValor is another user with a constant presence in the rookie locker room. Creating a fun environment and atmosphere that others enjoy. Xave has dabbled in media, even posted an article going into the numbers to figure out who is going to win the playoffs. They might have had my Hahalua’s not making the final correct, but they did correctly predict Chicago to win the cup. Defensive Tackles are a position which I feel are always wanted and appreciated, so they have that going for them as well. As luck as it the Royals are without a dedicated defensive tackle so I think the fit is written all over it.
Round 1, Pick 3 - Bondi Beach Buccaneers - Austin Morley @So_Evil - Wide Receiver
Buccaneers need fresh blood at the wide receiver position and which player can do that better than Austin Morley? So_Evil has shown the desire to succeed in the league and this is a great first stop. They are very active within the rookie discord and will surely be able to bring that energy over to the team discord. So_Evil is a media fiend, having already written 5 articles, which has been enough to already purchase tier 6 equipment. If I had to take a guess Morley will be amongst the top earners in his class if he can continue this trend.
Round 1, Pick 4 - Portland Pythons - Graham Harper @PurpleReign - Cornerback
Keeping up the unique position picked per pick, up next is Graham Harper. PurpleReign is another user who has just been great in the rookie discord. They have also been working hard on the media front, already have released several articles as well as being a part of two podcasts. Another player who has already dabbled in the equipment and will be amongst the top of the class. The Pythons have two corners, but one is a 1 post andy, so Harper will easily be able to become CB#2 and team up with Cob Corning.
Round 1, Pick 5 - Kansas City Coyotes - Jason Dobbler @Jaywe88 - Wide Receiver
Coyotes are another team who look like they might have a hankering for a bit of wide receiving action. The Dobbler has not only been very active within the rookie discord, he also comes with the benefit of being able to teach the whole team how to actually do their fabled and self coined dance move ‘The Dobbler’. The Dobs is a rawer talent in the pool, but one that has the potential to turn out very nicely. Being in the middle of an update break doesn’t give you the most accurate TPE amounts, but Dobbler has been putting in the work with earning TPE and earning some cash with media and a podcast appearance.
Round 1, Pick 6 - Tijuana Luchadores - Mable Pines @dude_woman - Cornerback
For the 6th pick I got Mable Pines going back to the Luchadores. With this pick dude_woman would be returning back to the DSFL team that picked them up on waivers. The TPE tracker currently has Pines as the top earning player of this draft and that would mean a great addiction for the Luchadores as a permanent cornerback option. I actually do not know much about them as they don’t really appear in the rookie discord, but players going back to their waiver team is always a good story so here we go.
Round 1, Pick 7 - Minnesota Grey Ducks - Fred Edison @Liter - Linebacker
A quick glance at the Ducks roster page shows that they are missing a good linebacker prospect. This is where drafting Fred Edison becomes very interesting. A great presence in the rookie locker room and according to the tracker the current highest earning linebacker. With another solid update on the horizon Edison will be able to catch up to the only other linebacker the Ducks have. Being given the opportunity to very quickly move up the ranks in the depth chart. Edison has already posted a few graphics and that could be a nice source of income for them.
Round 1, Pick 8 - Dallas Birddogs - Kevin McThumper @Chucky - Linebacker
The final pick of the first round and Dallas goes for the back to back linebacker pick here as the Birddogs pick up Kevin McThumper. Chucky comes in as another strong linebacker with solid earning and a very active prospect locker room presence. They have written a nice in character media article to get their money earning activities started. Looking back at the Birddog rooster I believe McThumper will easily slot into the big LB role as besides a GM Bot the team has no linebackers to speak of.
Silly little mock draft, which once again is not really based on anything, but just *vibes* n shit. There are so many amazing rookies and solid recreates that it is hard to actually predict, let alone even mock them somewhere. This draft class is going to be something special and I am happy to share it with y'all. Good luck in the draft everyone and no matter where or when you get drafted remember to enjoy it!
