Good morning sports fans, this is Igor Kalashnikov, host of Soviet SportsTalk, and we come fresh off the Arizona Outlaws repeating as Ultimus Cup champions after defeating the Baltimore Hawks in grand fashion. In pressing news, an incident has occurred where a general manager is actively censoring criticism of his team in order to lure unsuspecting prospects into his ranks.
During a recent Baltimore Hawks media event, an assertion was made in the original statement that the Hawks are NSFC Champions. A reply from the agent of Francois Lamoreux said the following:
This comment was quickly deleted. An investigation by other NSFL GMs quickly determined that Hawks GM Gordon Gekko was the responsible party. Since it was apparently inappropriate to bring up the unfair advantage the Hawks had in the NSFC Championship (in addition to the majority of the regular season) in their media piece, a new one is created to facilitate open discussion. Here on Soviet SportsTalk we follow glorious example of Lenin and promote free talk among comrades. Now taking callers. Caller, you're on SportsTalk.
Caller: Why do the Hawks get to cheat, get caught, cheat again, say they are true champions and then delete comments that call them out? They should be in gulag.
That's a strong statement, caller. Do you have a question?
Caller: Who will be the team to beat next season?
We've seen marked improvement in prospective performance among several teams given their strong draft prospects. I would think the Wraiths and SaberCats are the two best looking teams for next season, with the Otters not far behind. I would also consider the Liberty to be a wild card. The Outlaws, Yeti, and Legion are likely to stagnate, and without the advantage of cheating players, the Hawks will probably sit in last place for most of season 3. In games where the Hawks did not cheat, they are 1-3, with the sole win coming against the Liberty in overtime.
Edit: I apologize for not originally including that a reply to my deleted comment by iamslm22 was also removed. I don't know what that comment said.
