For Ganyu, the desire to work never ends. And considering the tall task of going from DSFL to ISFL, she knew she had to attend as many of the OTAs as she could. After all, with two lacklusters seasons at Bondi, she felt like she had a lot to prove. It became apparent to her very quickly that not only were the players stronger, but they were blindingly fast as well. A lot of her training this offseason ended up being geared towards keeping up with these two areas of skill and while it ended up being a pretty successful endeavor at the end of the day, it's still very much out of her comfort zone considering the accurate and precise sharpshooter that she is. Thankfully though, her mentor, Jason Garciaparra had signed with the New Orleans Secondline just as OTAs were starting, so she was able to receive a lot of very specialized and focused training from him. And of course, NOLA is full of incredibly talented defensive players all around, especially at LB, which made it easy for her to have a ton of different people to really soak in some knowledge from. It may take a while for her to really shine as a defender, but her first season of OTAs with NOLA proved to be a big step in the right direction for her overall!
