Hopping into the NSFL/ISFL time machine today, I stumbled upon a post dated October 16, 2017. It was a post describing the results of the NSFL Season 3 Combine, where my first player was a participant. Defensive End J.D. Boom to be formal, although he was more of a bust to be completely honest. He had a ton of potential, as shown by this screenshot(and no, I wasn't the author of this post)...
Sounds like a pretty good player, right? Like I said, potentially he could have been a great one, but the user talent never backed up the player talent unfortunately. I look back at that time while trying to come up with something for this weeks point task, and regret many decisions that I made during the early years of my time in player sim leagues. Frustration and life issues made for a few too many early retirements and a hit to my sim reputation, which might even linger to this day. Whatever, it's out of my control at this point.
Hey, I even found a sig..wait, I'm not 100% if that's even from the NSFL. Ooops.
Anyway, I was here for a while 5 years ago, and after something like 25 or 26 seasons away, I'm back here with Hunter, and while he's bounced around a bit, I'm here in Honolulu for now and enjoying it. Even though it's had a new name for a good while now, I'll always remember the (N)Isfl's early days and look back with mixed emotions. May the league, whatever it's called, stay strong, active and entertaining.
