Hello! Thanks for taking your time to look at my host city bid for the wonderful city of: Valencia Spain
Why Valencia?
Spain is a country with a fanbase that the ISFL has yet to reach. People might think this market is already saturated from soccer, however if you take a look at the data it shows a different story. In the 80's a new sport of padel was introduced into Spain and in just a decade was the second most popular played sport. Nowadays, people even say it has the potential to rival the number one sport: soccer. Once the people fall in love with a sport, they fall in love and become die hard fans. I think the ISFL has the same potential.
Now why in Valencia in particular? As the third largest city in Spain and having the fifth largest port in Europe, this is a bustling economic hub filled with culture. The city is a perfect showcase of what the region has to offer and the people know how to host a celebration. Their most popular festival, Las Fallas, brings in more than a million people as the city is set a blaze. Maybe a high bar to set, but I think the ISFL can match this plus I heard the San Jose fans travel well.
Where will the Ultimus be played?
The game will be hosted in Mestalla Stadium, the home for Valencia CF.
Ooo ahhh very pretty, eh? When the stadium is packed, which it better be, the atmosphere is electric. This historic stadium almost a century old, can hold up to 50k fans. It was also the stadium the Spain national team played in during the 1992 Olympics where the took home the gold. With the design of the stadium, it feels like a never ending wall of fans that make up this booming wall of sound.
In addition to this, many of the other festivities can be held near and around the Arts and Sciences district of Valencia. This area is home to some beautiful architecture that provides a grandiose atmosphere to match the importance of the event.
A beautiful place for the fans to enjoy some paella before the game from the birthplace of paella. This area is only a short walk or metro away from the Mestella so there should be no issue getting to and from both locations.
The Logo
For the logo I wanted to pay respects to what the people know and love which is soccer. A modified version of the local squads logo.
Thanks for reading! Please give me some feedback! I would really appreciate it as this is my first bid and i'm still new to making graphics. Hope y'all have a great day!
