Offensive Player of the Week
Quarterback – Gimmy Jaroppolo Jr. – Baltimore Hawks - @Frick_Nasty
(Note that user Frick Nasty has returned to the site and is considered an active user)
Gimmy Jaroppolo and the offense has Baltimore off to a 3-1 start and sitting in the playoffs. Jaroppolo has tossed 10 touchdowns in 4 games which leads the league. He has also thrown 0 interceptions which is another reason for that 3-1 start. Jaroppolo is also second among quarterbacks in Passing Yards, only 1 yard behind leader Tight End Eighty-Two and second in completion percentage at 67.46% just behind Wendell Sailor at 68.70%. Gimmy also leads the league with a QB rating of 126.6 If Jaroppolo can keep up this pace Baltimore should find themselves in the playoffs at the end of the year.
Defensive Player of the Week
Linebacker – Kevin McThumper – Berlin Fire Salamanders - @Chucky
It was a close call between Rookie Kevin McThumper and longtime vet Defensive Tackle Cade Williams, but McThumper just squeaked Williams out. Boosted no doubt by his 2 Forced Fumbles and 2 Ints to go along with a Defensive TD. McThumper was no doubt the reason the spark that ignited Berlin’s first victory of the season over the Yeti in Week 4. McThumper also added 32 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and a pair of sacks to round out his outstanding week.If this is any indication McThumper is going to be a force to be reckoned with throughout his ISFL career.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Kicker/Punter – Dallas Dole – Orange County Otters - @Dallypole
Is Dallas Dole the entire reason that Orange County has been the surprise team of the league with a 3-1 start and shared lead in the ASFC? When you’re hitting 11/12 on Field Goals and 100% of your Extra Points it definitely doesn’t hurt the team. The only miss coming from outside 40 yards. The Otters defense was also assisted with Dole pinning opponents inside the 20 on 50% of their punts to go along with their league leading 50.25 Yard Punt Average. If Dole keeps up this stellar pace and Orange County keeps winning, there isn’t any reason Dole can’t win Special Teams Player of the Year.
