(ASSOCIATED PRESS)
Early this morning a series of text messages leaked to one of the Associated Press' Reporters from Chicago cornerback Art Deco.
"I'm trying to see my options, see whats out there for me. I feel like I'm entering my prime and my best seasons are still ahead of me. I'm interested in seeing who out there could use my services next season and beyond, but the deals gotta work for both parties, you know what I'm sayin?"
In 15 games, Deco currently has posted a stat line of 82 tackles, 2/1 FF and FR, 2 sacks, 4 INTs, 18 pds, and 1 TD. He is currently tamperable under contract until the end of the S37 season with a Mutual Option.
Associated Press will be covering the story as it unfolds.
(CRODY'S NOTE)
I've been in the league now for two years, and have spent the entirety of my playing career with the wonderful Chicago Butchers, even taking a couple seasons to be the GM and help lead our team to an Ultimus victory. I love everyone in Chicago, but speaking candidly from the heart, I've been falling out of touch with the league for the last two months and I feel as though I'm going through the motions. One of the reasons I enjoy this league is because it affords an opportunity to meet new people. I have a lot of folks I would consider friends in the CHI locker room and war room, but at this point I'm interested in making some new friends and connections around the league. While I'm not ruling out a return to Chicago, I am interested in seeing what my options are. In two years I've never tested free agency, and have been loyal to one team. Free agency will be something new for me and my player to experience, and I'm hoping that will lead me to rekindling my love of Dotts football and propel me into a successful career with Deco, and a subsequent successful career with my next player.
I want to thank everyone in Chicago for their understanding, especially my friends @TheCC and @Painted. Please don't hate me </3
