Offensive Player of the Week
Running Back - Jay Cue Jr. - Arizona @Opera_Phantom
Jay Cue Jr. Fights back in the race for MVP with a sensational week. Averaging 5.61 YPC he ran for 443 yards and found the end zone 4 times on the ground. He topped that off with 93 yards and a TD through the air for a total of 536 all-purpose yards, the most of any of our ‘offensive player of the week’s so far! Week 12 saw the Outlaws take on Baltimore to continue their fine run of form and Cue Jr. Was the difference in the game with 4 total TDs and 185 yards. In a close-run battle at the top of the ASFC, these are important wins and Cue has proven time and time again he shows up for the Outlaws.
Defensive Player of the Week
Linebacker - Bender Rodriguez - Orange County @shrub02
All the rest of the defensive players this week can bite the shiny metal ass of our Defensive Player of the Week, Bender Rodriguez. Bender was constantly in the game and the backfield with 4 TFLs and 4 sacks over the 3 games and capped it off with a pick 6, returning Malcolm Savage’s wayward pass for a 22-yard TD. While Orange County only won 1 out of 3 this week, Bender put up excellent performances in all 3 of the games and is should continue to be a bright spark going this team going forward, after having struggled in the past few weeks.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Returner - Zane Cold - Orange County @Bubba
Rounding out the picks for this week is out first return specialist and second Orange County player for the week, Zane Cold. Cold made use of all of his special teams snaps this week as he returned 4 kicks for 117 yards at a healthy 29.25 average and a strong 73 yards from his 7 punt returns. While he didn’t add any scores in the week, TDs are few and far between for returners. Zane Cold showed he is not a player opposing teams will be wanting to kick the ball to with his excellent, consistent production.
