Wow a season has come and gone already that's two down already in my ISFL career, taking a little look back to see if where I am now is where I thought I'd be. Well I joined back in June and struggled a little but I struck through it and through the help of everybody on the discord I am here! I was super hopeful when I first joined the league, hopeful that I was going to be an absolute menace on the field and I guess I'm about where I thought I'd be, it is pretty difficult to dominate on the field when you're in the DSFL with the cap and all. I also never seen myself picking up a league job as I thought it was going to be way to overwhelming, but look at me go mom I'm not only a DSFL general manager but I'm general manager of EuroCan and I picked up a general manager job in the SMJHL, you may think to yourself, "Hammer isn't that too much?" Nah I'm chillin! I'm having a great time too! Of course I love the football general managing job a little bit more since football has always been my number one sport, not that being a hockey general manager isn't fun I just enjoy being the Birddogs general manager a little bit more! I'm currently on my second season of being the Dallas General manager and last season I ran it all solo, I was given tons and tons of help from my war room by Steg and he has really set me up for success and hopefully I can take all of the knowledge I was given and it'll help bring another championship to Dallas! In my first season I tried to do unorthodox things in the beginning that would hopefully give us an upper hand, I was told at the very start "We don't really trade players in the DSFL" So I did the next big thing, I scrapped that double quarterback system that we were using the season before I became general manager and I traded one of those players for some draft picks, whilst this was happening I became aware that one of the players I was drafting wanted to play with one of their friends so I thought to myself "hmm, maybe I'll use that pick that I got to trade for that player" middle, middle, middle, and some stern negotiating here and there and it all worked out! I got the duo defensive line that I wanted! And I really thought it was going to be the turning point! I mean it kind of worked out for us, We went from last in the league to top three, and on the brighter side of things, WE MADE THE PLAYOFFS! I know we're going to be fighting very very hard at this point to be getting into the playoffs but that's something I'm ready for, I'm a bit more experienced now and I have a bit of a feel for what to expect this season, I know somewhat what every teams strengths are and I'm prepared! Now that season number two is out of the way its time to be out with the old and in with the new! As usual with every DSFL team, you got positions to fill and games to win! So that's what I intend to do, the scouting process has already begun and I'm already trying to figure out what the Dallas team is going to look like. On a side note team EuroCan is looking pretty solid, we have a great group of guys on our team and I am pretty excited to see where this thing leads! Hopefully we can at least get a podium spot this season, would definitely show that we're doing something right! Had to make a few tweaks to the strategies already but now that I've got that out of the way it's hopefully time to dominate!!! And now I find myself on a ISFL team, I was unbelievably excited to be drafted and sometimes I had a strong feeling for where I was going to land, and as the mock drafts came in I started to slowly have no idea where I was going to end up in the ISFL, I will remember it for a long time, the same day I became Dallas's general manager, I was at a football game in my hometown, drunk as a skunk, with barely any phone battery left, I was watching the ISFL draft while it was halftime luckily and bam it happened, New York picked me up! And I couldn't have been happier with my landing spot! it's a team that's on the better end with their roster and they're not so much in that rebuild stage anymore, hopefully the draft goes super well for New York and that we'll see some potential call ups! New York has been nothing but welcoming to me with wide open arms and I'm super happy that this is my new home! Hopefully my home for a long time! And hopefully I've put in enough hard work into making myself a great player where I can really make a difference for New York, I'm hoping that I can disrupt the opposing teams offense enough to give the team a chance offensively as many times as I possibly can! I know everyone wants it just as bad as I do but trust me I want to win a championship really, really, really freaking badly and I wont stop until I do, even if it takes four maybe five recreates it's going to happen.
Season thirty seven will definitely be one I will remember for awhile, went seven and seven in my first season as a general manager, playoffs, EuroCan in the WFC is working its way through yet another season and I'm really proud to be representing my country as a General manager, and the team I predicted to win the Ultimus won! Congrats to Arizona I knew you could do it! Now lets hope Jay Cue Jr. can run the ball down the throats of everyone in the WFC and we can get us some medal! Here's wishing everyone good luck in season thirty eight! Thanks for reading!
