Coming into this season, Kalam Mekhar had just won Defensive Player of the Year, and made Unanimous First Team All Pro for the second time. The Wraiths defense was stacked, and hopefully the offense could find its legs. Kalam's season so far has been pretty dismal, currently he has only 3 interceptions and 24 pass defenses, which doesn't put him anywhere near the league leaders. Hopefully Kalam can kick it into gear for the last few games of the season. The Wraiths currently sit atop the NSFC after riding the leagues best defense all season, but man the offense has struggled and the last several games have been a bit depressing to be honest. Hopefully the team can dig deep and find that spark, especially on the offensive side of the ball as the end of the season nears and the playoffs are looming as the Wraiths are going to be exiting their window of competitiveness here in the next few seasons.

Written option: With the end of another regular season approaching, there’s always a lot to unpack. Both players and GMs alike enter each season with expectations and hopes for the kind of results they want to see, but how often do we end up achieving these results? For this PT, talk about your expectations for your player and/or team coming into this season and how it compares to what really occurred this season. Did you and your team overachieve? Underachieve? Go the way you thought they would? Let us know!
Wow, this season has been a rollercoaster for young Pérez. From being traded from the Hahalua to a bright and young Fire Salamander team. To being in the race for playoffs spots with a team who was being projected at having a ceiling of finishing 5th in their division. One might say that Pérez and the Fire Salamanders are overachieving. One might not be that far off when saying that, however I think what the team and Pérez have been showing is that with hard work you can make anything happen. The Fire Salamanders were described as a young team who were one or two seasons away from being able to compete in the league, but here they are ahead of schedule. Even going as far as giving the Outlaws a real run for their money at their place, only losing out in the last moments of the game.
It is a great season and I think me and the team are thrilled with how it is going. Knowing that with all the hard work we are putting in the team is going to go places.
This season I had two expectations going into the season, one for the Royals and one for Gago.
The one for the Royals was to make the playoffs with the Royals, and while not really an expectation, but a hopeful, to make win the division. And at this point in the season, the Royals are currently not only not winning the division, but not even in one of the two playoffs spots for the division. And as such would not be making the playoffs, if things were to stand. But a slight positive in that, is that if the Royals were in the south division we would be making the playoffs, but we're not.
Now for player wise I was expecting to be a beast in shutting down the run game. And while it is kind of hard to tell, from the index, if Gago is in fact reaching that expectation, I can go from some simple stats. Right now the Royals currently have the 2nd best run defense, which can maybe mean that Gago is helping there but it's too hard. Another stat to maybe look at is the tackle for losses, which he currently has two, so I think it's safe to say he's not a good of a beast as was expected.
For Mike Holiday, the expectations were low and open considering I did recreate for the TDL. I happened to be picked up by the Minnesota Grey Ducks, who are having an exceptional season. With that I know the standard in Minnesota is to win, and hopefully we continue our winning ways for the remainder of this season while Holiday is on the Grey Ducks. Having literally just watched the first game I appeared in I was pleasantly surprised. The Grey Ducks and myself had a pretty good win against TIJ, with a final score of 35-27 (garbage time for TIJ). I finished the game with 3 tackles along with a pick six which is pretty cool for my first game. Now comes playoff time and although I am new to the Grey Ducks and only seeing the 2 games played today, I have a really good feeling for the playoffs and the final stretch. Hopefully Holiday continues to preform well and we continue our winning ways.
