Let's make this official--
You probably noticed the lack of DSFL Players of the Week this season, and that was completely my fault, as I had too many distractions outside of the league to do the job of DSFL Awards Committee Head properly. I knew that was a risk when I took the job, since my ADHD makes it difficult to juggle multiple responsibilities at once. The additional demands on my real-life time are positive things, but what's been good for me in real life has become a problem when it came to my league job performance. So for the good of the league and my own sanity, I found it necessary to step down as DSFL Awards Committee Head.
I want to thank HO for taking a chance on me when the role was created, it means a lot to me that you trusted me with this level of responsibility when I had never held a league job before. I also want to thank the members of the Committee for their work and for putting up with my scatter-brained self these past few seasons. I'm proud of the work that we did! The League Awards mean a lot to me, and it's been a lot of fun working together to honor the accomplishments of the best players in the DSFL!
Anyway, with the sentimental stuff out of the way, let's get to the good news: I'm delighted to introduce my good friend @g2019 as your new DSFL Awards Committee Head! Sconnie is a great guy, one of the nicest people in the sim community, and I know he's going to do a much better job in this role than I ever did!
