This presser is now ready to grade!
Is this rookie going to take the league by storm?
The answer to the above question is simple: probably not. This Rookie doesn't have anything outstanding going for him. He's not particularly fast, not particularly good at catching, and not particularly inspiring in any way.
That said, he's just a rookie.
Rookies have potential.
There's a possibility this kid can show up and stick it out. I wanna see where this kid goes in the DSFL. I wanna see him ball out in the first exposition game. I wanna see him train hard at training camp. After this season, I wanna see him get drafted onto a needy ISFL team, and I wanna watch him crush.
All that said, obviously this kid could flame out. WR's are a dime a dozen. There are already 24 of them flooding the DSFL, and another 35 of them waiting as free agents, frothing at the mouth for an opportunity in the big leagues (although, most of the free agents flamed out years ago, or never really got into the game, so they're probably not gonna be much competition for a prospect like this).
Of the 5 best WR's in the game right now, 4 of them are speed receivers. In the long run, this kid can join their ranks. He just has to have the endurance, the bank (to continue buying training sessions), and a team willing to support and nurture him. It might take a while before he can get there, and you might not believe me. All you have to do is watch, and wait, and see for yourself.
Speed receivers are deadly in the deep game, but what steps are you taking to make sure your game will be well balanced?
I've taken a lot of time to work on my Hands and competitiveness already. I worry about receivers getting their catches and then fumbling them away, and that will *not* be me.
As for the rest, We'll see what my coach/GM thinks once I get drafted. It's possible they want a well rounded WR, or they just want as fast a speed demon as possible. I'm happy to figure that out with them.
Do you think you'll have trouble adjusting to the pace of the professional game?
Absolutely not. I'm a fast learner.
What was the most impressive highlight of your football career so far, do you think you will be able to top it?
The most impressive highlight I have is actually memorialized in the photo on my Wiki: https://wiki.sim-football.com/view/Artemis_Entreri. It's a 1 handed catch I made jumping literally over a defender in the Rose Bowl. I'm only getting started, so I'm sure I'll have even more, better, highlight worthy catches.
Does your player have a go-to meal they eat before big games?
Yea. A Steak Burrito the night before. I'm too nervous day of to eat anything. If I do, I puke it up on the field.
Are there any football players (could be from the NFL, ISFL, or any other league you know of) that your player looks up to/hopes to emulate?
Jordy Nelson. The deep routes. The speed after catching. Eating up defenders running cover 2. But above all, the back shoulder fade connection with Rodgers. Ah. So Beautiful.
Do you have a favorite sports related memory? Could be a memory your player has, or your own memories!
Artemis Entreri thinks very fondly of his time playing back in High School winning States. He made a lot of friends on that team that he stays in touch with to this day. It was a great introduction to the game that year.
Would you rather fight one defensive-end-sized sentient football, or ten football sized defensive ends?
Since the one DE sized FB would kill me just by falling on me, I'd have to take the 10 DE's. I hope they're gonna have a tough time running, so I'd literally just run away and hope they get tired/can't catch me.
Are there any team logos/names/color schemes that jump out to you in the DSFL and/or ISFL?
The Bondi Beach Bucaneers. I visited Bondi beach only a couple months ago and had a great time there, so they stood out to me b/c of the location. I haven't looked at all at the ISFL yet, since it's a long way away for me.
How Do you feel about the other prospects in this class, especially the other WRs and the CBs that will be guarding you, and especially more specifically Bradley Welch Jr. Son of the legendary Bradley Welch and the next best CB in this league?
I'm not too worried about him. Sure he's fast right now, but he doesn't have that "dog" in him. He doesn't have the same spirit I do. If there's a contested ball between us, I'm just gonna yoink it straight outta his hands. Sure he's doing well, and I expect him to be great, but I'm gonna be greater. I'm far from afraid of him, but I'm not afraid of anyone in this league. Sure there are pros who have been doing this for years who would crush me today, but if you just have some patience with me, you'll see the heights I can get to.
