The DSFL Awards Committee is looking for two new members to join us!
Everyone is encouraged to apply, but those with a current DSFL player or who hold a DSFL league job will be given preference.
I need people who are excited about Awards and eager to contribute. This job involves frequent discussions about player performance and a larger discussion after the regular season concludes. It shouldn’t take up a lot of your “real-life” time, but the Committee won’t do its best work without regular input from every member, so “buy-in” from everyone is important.
I need people who can be objective. Decisions will rarely be unanimous. Be prepared to defend your point of view, but also be prepared to listen and be persuaded by others. Ultimately we’re going to be a team here, with the common goal of making the best DSFL Awards experience possible for our leaguemates and ourselves.
The basic process is this:
1. Team representatives and committee members nominate players they feel should be in the conversation for each award. This is a chance for a rep from each team to make their best arguments for their players.
2. This committee works along with Awards Head (me) to discuss, vote, and trim the ballot down to its final form.
3. The ballot is sent to GMs and HO for voting.
If interested in applying, please hit me up on Discord at G2019#0639.
Applications close at 11:59 PM EST tomorrow, 3/1.
