When Aaron Jäger was growing up, he had passion for multiple sports, excelling in both football and baseball. As he entered into high school, he faced a difficult decision about which sport to focus on, knowing he wanted to play sports beyond high school. His father had been a star baseball player in college and pushed him to follow in his footsteps. Despite this, Jäger's passion for football was undeniable. He loved the fast pace of the game, the rushing feeling that came with scoring a touchdown that he found hard to replicate in baseball. In the end, Jäger was able to convince his father that he should pursue the sport he was more passionate about. With the extra stakes of going against his father's wishes, he knew that he would have to exceed all expectations on the field. His decision paid off as he quickly established himself as a top player on his high school football team. He was his team's highest scoring player his sophomore and junior years as a wide receiver, scoring dozens of touchdowns with his speed and height. During his senior year he kept his points high while showing his flexibility as a player by switching positions to tight end.
