Training has certainly been a large focus on the season for Lloyd, especially with it being his first career season in the pros. The main items Lloyd has been focusing on is working on his arm strength, his accuracy and decision making to make sure he is making the right throws game in and game out. For the decision making aspect, the most important part was watching an absurd amount of film from games as he plays more, trying to learn all the coverages and looks that is being thrown at Lloyd. Lloyd has also focused on improving his mechanics as the season progresses, with the stronger foundation it allows him to get everything out of each throw and also allows much more improved accuracy. Next steps is probably focusing more on pocked awareness starting with the film from the previous games since he has taken a beating at times behind the Tijuana line. The coaching staff overall has helped his game tremendously ever since he was drafted by Tijuana.
Going from being a 5 star recruit out of The California State Champion Junipero Serra High School, to being last year’s Heisman Trophy winner for my LSU Tigers, I have proven to be the best hands in the nation.
I’ve been riding in style my entire time in Baton Rouge with the wonderful folks at Lamborghini helping me out. With Lambo’s world class engines I’m always styling and profiling when I roll up to practice. I always knew I needed something that’s as fast as I am on the field and Lamborghini comes pretty close.
My route running drills are what I’ve been staying true to since we won the National Championship. I know I make it look easy, but this doesn’t happen overnight. My ability is God given, but I don’t intend on giving it back. My body is a temple so the gym is my church. Sometimes I even catch other people worshiping my workouts. I could try and teach them my workouts but there’s only one Cash Wheeler.
The ISFL and DSFL aren’t ready for Cash. Honestly, I’m not sure they’ll ever be, but I’m on the rise. Grab a chair and take a seat. Get ready for the next chapter.
My player has been working out a lot more, and has tried his hardest to stay in shape for the season, This was always a problem for Log, as he loves himself some bacon and sugar cookies. One time before a big game, he threw up 8 pounds of nothing but bacon. Logjammed never really did agility training, but ramped it up for this season. He also was never really a weight lifting guy, but yet again, wanted to impress in the DSFL, so he started. When he played in his first game, he noticed that he was much faster and stronger than before, this helped him have a so far, 10 sack season, which is 4th in the DSFL currently. While he still isn't the healthiest person, Logjammed is a very good and dedicated player nonetheless. He hopes to continue his working out and maybe, just maybe, stop eating bacon and sugar cookies.
Sunigh has been working a lot of extra time in the gym. This season, he worked a lot on his cardio, and footing technique to reinforce his stamina, and speed overall. When not in OCO team gym, his doing some back and forth in his pool with different swimming technique, in his opinion, nothing is better than swimming to improve your health in general, and its also refreshing under the California sun. Lately, Sunigh was not happy at all with his personnal performance, he miss way too much tackle. To improve, Sim work a lot on his positioning, and he hired a personnal coach that help him take information, and decision faster on the field with the help of some game and test that improve it. Sim has passed a bit more time off the field and football with his teamate. Doing other activities with them have helped him make a better and stronger bond with the people he share the field with.
Coach: "Alright, Florida. I have your end of the year evaluation right here. Did you do any of the lesson plans for the playbook I sent you?"
Me: "No."
Coach: "*sigh*, you know you're supposed to do that right?"
Me: "I forgot."
Coach: "Alright, well what about the route running tree, did you talk with the receivers coach about that?"
Me: "We have one of those?"
Coach: "Dammit, Florida, we're trying to win games out here, and you're costing us wins."
Me: "Hey, don't look at me, the passing game was great for us. Besides, I figured out a little life hack."
Coach: "A what?"
Me: "Yea, if you run faster that everyone else, and then the QB throws you the ball, when you catch it, you get six points. Little tip from me to you."
Coach: "*sigh*, I miss the days when Walter would chop you into oblivion."
Me: "He taught me well. Those were some good times. Good times."
Danny Nedelko decided that he wanted to work on his speed this season. He will only lift weights, so he figured that the best way to improve his speed would be to cut weight. This obviously involved changing his usual vitamins for a new type, cutting vitamins.
He was advised against this by his coaches, but the ISFL's non-existent drug testing procedure means that there was no way he could stop him. Sure, his liver is struggling and he looks about 10 years older now, but he shed about 12 pounds of body fat and is now chiselled.
Is being so cut good for you in an endurance based contact sport? Well, he would argue.. basically anything to keep taking his ster... uh.. special vitamins. Either way, it seems to have done the job, as Nedelko has run for over 1200 yards this season, grinding the Arizona Outlaws to a 14-2 regular season record.
With Octavion Speedings being relatively new to football as he was a star track and fielder for his high school before getting recruited by coach Johnson to play football for the team, to say he's fast is an understatement. After only a few sessions a week practising his speed, explosiveness, endurance, and stamina with coach Johnson, he managed to get way faster than he was. He finally broke the 4.2 threshold by running a 4.29. But obviously speed wasn't where he lacked as he did run a high 4.3 before turning to football, hence why he didn't train that part of his game a lot. Coach Johnson's focus for Octavion Speedings was his technique. Playing a new sport you've never tried before is incredibly difficult as there are a lot of details and fundamentals you have to learn for each position. As a wide receiver, Octavion was religiously working out with coach on his route running, catching, etc., and I think it's safe to say he's improved quite a lot
Throughout the season, Money Tolliver has been hitting the gym hard and training hard in order to get him to a position at which he can shine when he will eventually take over the reigns of Baltimore's future at Running Back. Dante King is near the end of his career and as amazing as he has been in his peak and even in this current season, nobody gets younger and Dante is no exception to this rule. With a season left in his storied career, he might have to play second fiddle to the new young gun Money Tolliver. Tolliver has not really had an incredible season that one might be able to brag of compared to other rookies like Sherwin Blue Jr. and so on but his time and effort in the gym and the countless hours on the treadmill to up his speed will certainly help in the future as the elusive running back has noticed an uptick in yards and yards per carry as the season has gone on
