Scouting reports marked Dub Redd as a raw physical talent that lacked some of the foundational techniques that would be required at the next level. Still Tijuana took a chance on Redd because they had confidence in their coaching ability to sculpt him into a top tier interior presence on the Defensive Line. The Tijuana coaches were quick to disciple Dub whenever they saw him using a Bull Rush technique in practice. A routine of 10 up-downs after every drill was a fast route to hammering that tendency out. Coaches Jason and PBS worked with Dub to cement a number of more advance pass rush techniques in his repertoire including the basic Swim, Rip and Spin moves. After a slow start to the season Redd more than doubled his sack output with three sacks and a safety in weeks 8-11. However don't think for a second Dub Redd was ignoring what got him a chance to play in the DSFL. Raw physical dominance is still a big part of his game. Like clockwork Redd has been hitting the weights 4 days a week. Technique and Physique gains have been the key to Redd's improvement this season.
