During the off season Brandon was moved from guard to tackle. A difficult switch. But coming off his all pro season, he knew he could do it. He went about his typical routines in preparing for games. His first few games, he was not satisfied with his performance. Few pancakes and 2 sacks allowed. So he changed up his preparation. Started hitting the weights harder to be able to over power opponents. He started to work on his feet and hands techniques. He needed faster feet coming off the edge dealing with some of the faster, more agile defensive ends or outside linebackers. He tried to focus harder on film to try and learn cues opponents might give without knowing they are. Anything to help give himself an advantage. After incorporating these changes, Brandon has had much more success as a tackle and hopes to be able to continue this trend.
