Speed has been one of the primary areas of focus for the season. It's an important attribute to open up the passing game which helps in creating favourable matchups and separation. To complement speed, there's been strides in agility too. After all, you got to run your routes well and it's a handy attribute to have when attempting to split defenders and avoid tackles. A lot of sprints, and agility drills during the season to work on those two areas and there's certainly been gains in those two areas when comparing the athletic ability in the preseason to now. Additionally, working with coaches has resulted in an improved running technique which has helped the speed department. Being a full-time profession as opposed to college athlete has meant there's been more time to get into the weight room. While not making staggering eye catching progress, there's been improvement in strength which has helped to deal with pressing corners and handling contact.
