After a fruitful four seasons in the ISFL, Leandre Diarra has mostly mastered the fundamentals of his position. In his earlier seasons, the fullback spent much of his efforts during the season learning the playbook, practicing making the correct reads in pass protection and on zone reads, and things of that nature. While those things are still critical to keep fresh on, the main improvements that Diarra made in his 5th season of the league were more on the locker room leadership and emotional regulation side of things. The Otters made the playoffs for the first time in his career with them, and that involved a wild 6-1-1 run during midseason that carried them from an initial lackluster 1-4 record straight to qualifying for the postseason. Diarra had to learn how to manage success and prevent the excitement and hype from disrupting his preparation and practice routines. While the Otters ended the season on a 3-game skid, Diarra is confident entering the playoffs that he's prepared himself for the biggest games of his career up to this point.
