Triple Option was assembled at the United States Air Force Academy as part of a secret research project headed by the infamous Dr. Khaos. The project was to create an assassin gaming chair. Unfortunately, the project lost funding and after a lengthy court battle on whether a sentient gaming chair had rights, Triple Option was free to start his life. He attended Colorado School of Mines and eventually befriended up-and-coming hockey player Conner Snooks, but the relationship was short-lived due to Snooks’ volatile behavior. In the middle of the night, Triple Option snuck out to start his new life as a Fullback playing American Football.
Triple Option was quickly picked up by the TIjuana Luchadores. The team welcomed the chair with open arms and Option quickly made his mark. In just his second game ever against bitter rivals Bondi Beach Buccaneers, Triple Option scored 2 rushing TDs in a stand out performance. Options quickly became a triple threat on a dominant Luchadores offense. He could punch it in on short yardage opportunities, clear the open path for his fellow Running Backs, and even scarier catch a ball out of the backfield. In 3 full seasons with the Luchadores, Options caught for over 300 yards. Averaging 4.9 yards a catch. So it was really to no one’s surprise that it was Triple Option who caught a 22 yard beauty for a touchdown in the Ultimini to seal the victory over the Pythons.
In the Season 35 ISFL draft. The Colorado Yetis selected Triple Option. Pundits were surprised by the pick. Fullbacks are generally a position that doesn’t work in the league and without changing position to maybe Tight End or Offensive Line, Option might struggle. Some say that it was connections to Colorado in Triple Options past that brought him to the Yetis. Option struggled in his first season. Adjusting to the better and bigger defensive players of the ISFL proved to be quite the challenge. The Chair did find some success in Season 38 finding the endzone once during the season against the Sarasota Sailfish and ending the season with 42 pancakes was enough for Triple Option to be named 2nd Team All-Pro.
Midway through Season 40, Triple Option announced he would be retiring at the end of the season. Being a Fullback was tough business in the ISFL and he had struggled to keep up with the bigger and faster players. He did end with a season high 48 pancake blocks bringing him to a total 150 career pancakes. That’s a pretty good stack. In his statement Option thanked profusely his teammates and coaches at both Colorado and Tijuana, giving nothing but praise for the great organizations.
