Well with recent developments in Tijuana I was unable to find the time to write the finale to the Wizard's Orb: DSFL Predictions series. Honestly that was probably for the best given the hit rate on my predictions all season was only marginally better than a coin toss. However, I'm nothing if not a completionist, and leaving the series unfinished doesn't feel quite right. Instead we'll be using the Orb to gaze back in time and perform a quick analysis of how things played out in Bondi's victory at Ultimini XL live from the North Pole! But first...

Well look at that! I guess the new orb @baz1757 kindly purchased for me is in much better shape that that rusty old Orb I had. If you didn't believe in the script before, maybe you will now. After facing contraction last offseason, both Portland and Bondi Beach made their way to an Ultimini birth. Congratulations are in order to all of the respective General Managers for a well coached season!
A Gaze into the Past:
Wow what a game! After Portland took a 21-3 lead, the Buccs were able to crawl their way back with 21 unanswered points behind three touchdown passes from All-pro Quarterback Smokin Jay. The game winner came after an interception by Buccs Free Safety Amanda HugAndKiss which lead to a 5 yard touchdown pass to 2nd year Wide Receiver Kairo Knight. I mentioned in my DSFL Conference Championship preview that Bondi Beach has lead the league this year in defensive interceptions by an astounding margin, and this game wasn't any different. A series of plays in the Fourth quarter resulted in two interception by the Buccs defense which helped lead to the game winning touchdown.
Overall this was truly a defensive battle as the Quarterback play from both sides was dreadful. Both teams combined for 38/93 passes complete for a completion rate of just over 40% which included a total of 5 interceptions! The running game wasn't much to admire either, with 48 attempts and 177 yards between both teams for an average of 3.7 yards per carry. And to top everything off, Kickers in this game only went 1/5 on field goal attempts. It might seem like I'm harping a bit on the offense here, but what do you expect from a user who created at Defensive Tackle?
Alright I'll ease up a bit on the Defensive bias. Play of the game goes to Plant Based for hauling in a 56 yard touchdown pass at the end of the 3rd quarter that brought the previous 18 point deficit to within a single score game. This stands as the longest play from scrimmage all game, and was the pivot Bondi Beach needed to close out Portland.
End Notes:
The Head Hanchos in Tijuana have called me up to be the next GM. With my new responsibilities my media output is sure to drop next season. Nevertheless I'm excited for what the future holds, and want to thank anyone who took the time to read my articles this season. Truly you all had very kind words and they were not lost on deaf ears. Until next time, adios from Tijuana!
