Kobefromthefrobe: Hello ISFL!
Continuing what I’ve been doing for the last couple off-seasons I will be doing another interview! This time with Kunra. Another Honolulu draftee.
First off welcome to the team I’m excited for you and for the team to grow! How did you feel after getting drafted by Honolulu and did the draft go as expected
Kunra: Sorry was banging my head against the wall in Hearthstone lol. Being new to the league in general, I wasn't exactly sure how things work so I wasn't really expecting to be drafted at all for this season. But the selfish side of me was hoping that Honolulu would pick me up as I had an awesome chat with Icebear. I was laughing my ass off the whole conversation and knew that if the rest of the team was anything like him, I'd feel right at home
Kobefromthefrobe: I’m glad your excited to have ended up here. Ice bear is a funny guy and I enjoy talking to him and our whole team a lot. We have a very good user base in the Honolulu lr.
This past season you had 54 pancakes to 3 sacks allowed while making it all the way to the ultimini. How are you looking to build off of that and improve this season
Kunra: I'm definitely proud of my rookie season. But I felt like I left a lot of room for improvement. Falling just short of winning it all really lit a fire in me. I'm pissed off. I wanted that win so bad. I'm ready for the season to start today! My personal goal is to serve enough pancakes to end world hunger. The team goal ofcourse is to win it all
Kobefromthefrobe: Hoping this season goes great for you! Severing enough pancakes to end world hunger seems like a great goal.
You have been a great new user and it’s good to see. What had helped you keep motivation to update and staying active in general?
Kunra: I was a little hesitant early on to do most of the writing tasks. But after watching a couple of game day streams, I realized I was REALLY enjoying the games and just wanted to get better. The team having success motivated me to get more and more involved. I would say right now I am hooked ?
Kobefromthefrobe: I’m glad you have enjoyed the streams and I’m glad your hooked!
I’m sure you’ve made some memories in the league and had some enjoyable moments. What was your favorite in game moment and what was your favorite user interaction moment?
Kunra: I think my favorite in game moment... I don't remember the exact game... But we scored a touch down on a running play and I could see my big number 13 in the end zone next to our running back. In my head I bulldozed the way for our guy to score that TD. My favorite user interaction. Sorry for sounding like a kiss-ass, but the first chat I had with IceBear was hilarious. He came in hot with a question about hiding a bus and our back and forth had me laughing my ass off. I'd say it was the first time since joining the league that I got on that well with someone. When the draft came around, my preferred team was Honolulu based on that one chat and it all worked out
Kobefromthefrobe: Ricebear is definitely a good guy to be around even though we mess with him a lot.
LRs are a big part of sim leagues aswell. Do you think an active LR helps people stay active and happy with where they are
Kunra:Yeah without a doubt. While I am not the most active person in the locker room myself (Except on game days where I never shut up), Just reading through some of the general nonsense is entertaining, but plenty of times there are super helpful conversations that go down too and you can definitely learn something by paying attention
Kobefromthefrobe: Makes sense, I like the lrs and interacting with other users cause it helps us learn about our teammates and others in the league.
I’m not sure if you have any isfl jobs but if not could you see yourself having one and maybe even becoming a isfl or DSFL gm
Kunra: While I definitely like the idea of it, I'm not sure it would be a good fit for me. I would feel so much more obligated to put more time into the league and I would be afraid it would take away some of the fun of it for me. But who knows what the future could bring. Perhaps smoking a giant cigar while having my feet up on a big fancy desk could suit me ?
That’s all I appreciate everyone who reads! Looking for more this offseason hopefully if anyone is interested in doing one
Split 50/50
