I, Bruce Talis, came to the league right after the DSFL draft. Already feeling a little late to the game, I knew I had to keep up. As an attempt to do that, I decided to maintain the main focuses of a good offensive lineman in strength and blocking while trying to keep other important aspects on par with each other. A big portion has been strength training and technique exercises. But I also believe that the mental game is just as important as the physical aspect. Before workouts, tape of myself is looked at to find outstanding needs that need to be addressed. That way during workouts, I have the focus taking care of those needs and improve. Then after the workout, other tape on opponents is looked at to prepare and exploit the strengths and weaknesses of my upcoming opponents.
Diet has also been a big proponent to preparing and improving myself for this push to the offseason. Protein/meat has been the main focus as it is the easiest thing on the gut to process (relatively speaking). Before, it was primarily on greens, such as spinach (thanks Popeye), but so much had to eaten to see and feel results in this high intensity game. After making the switch recently, changes were quicker to notice, but how long these effects last remains to be seen.
