As someone who started football very late, Brian Vincent-Vega has had to show significant improvement every season to make it to the DSFL. After putting in a lot of work in the off season, BVV had high expectations for both himself and the defense. But 11 weeks in, the improvement hasn't been there, and Brian knows it. Missed tackles, Misreads, and dropped interceptions have plagued his season, and his mental health has taken a hit. He is not proud to admit that he's spent a decent amount of time reading tweets and articles criticizing his performance. After talking with the coaches, BVV has started seeing a sports psychologist. Most of the talk has been about managing expectations. As an athlete, motivation is crucial-but it's just as important to realize that progress isn't always linear. His performance on the field has still been up and down, but BVV knows that this is a marathon, not a sprint. BVV hopes that he can get his mind right in time for the playoff push.
