Hello everyone. With the offseason approaching, Sean Robinson is looking to improve his skills to be ready for S42. But the real question is, what is his routine?
Today, we will be going through the practice routine/ offseason plan of New York Silverbacks WR Sean Robinson.
WARMUPS:
Sean Robinson arrives at the Concrete Jungle at 6:20 AM in the morning and starts with warmups. He does many exercises including:
- High Knees
- Walking Lunges
- Heel Kicks
- Squats
- Calf Stretches
- Side Steps
- Thoracic Spine Rotations
- Leg Swings
After sean finishes these warmups, he runs from the goaline to the 50 yard line and back 3 times. By this time, he is warmed up and good to go for practice.
ROUTE-RUNNING WORK:
As Sean finishes up his warmups, he goes to route running drills with QB Blaine Falco @Tayjay. They work on many things that improve your foot work and things that will confuse the CBs. This helps their chemistry and should be very beneficial for both of them in the future. Sean Robinson will particularly be working on this aspect of his game as he feels if he can get open more, it will lead to bigger opportunities for him down the road.
SPEED SPEED SPEED:
Another big part of Robinson’s offseason is improving his speed exponentially. Speed is the most important aspect of a receiver and Robinson lacks it in some ways. Sean would start with some sprints down the field and back and would even bring out fellow S41 Rookie The Riddler @MattBake12 to guard him. He worked on creating separation and getting by The Riddler so that Blaine Falco could hit him over the shoulder. If Sean can improve his speed this offseason, the Silverbacks receiving core will be a force to be reckoned with.
It. Will. Be. Scary.
By the time Sean is done with his speed drills, it is usually about 8:30 AM. This gives him lots of time to workout in the gym before Silverbacks practice.
GYM WORKOUT:
Sean knows that strength can be very useful for WRs and he wants to take advantage of a strength building opportunity but hitting the gym in the offseason. He heads back towards the locker room where the weight room is at about 8:45 after taking a quick 15 minute break to cool down. He then gets back to work. He works on his upper body strength most of the time as well as his quadriceps. This will help him on the field in any given situation with the CB. This will also help him not fumble as much. He didn’t have many fumbles this season but the ones that he did have were very very costly. Working on his strength should resolve fumbling issues
SUMMARY:
Sean Robinson will be on the grind all offseason nonstop in hopes of climbing ER leaderboards in S42. If Sean can really improve his Speed, Route-Running, and Strength, he should be just fine in the ISFL and should be on CBs radars in the coming seasons. Sean will continue to improve every offseason and Silverbacks games should become more and more fun to watch every season.
