Alex Rosen, a safety for the Portland Pythons was involved in a major car accident last Sunday,
according to police reports. The accident occurred on the I-5, south of Portland, and involved two
cars and a semi truck. Although the events of the accident are unclear at this time, we currently
know that Alex Rosen was the only person to sustain serious injuries in the accident, having
apparently been clipped off the road by the semi truck. Although the specific details of his injuries
are unclear at this time, we do know that they are severe but no longer life-threatening, and that
they did not necessitate stay in the ICU. It remains unclear at this time when Rosen will be able
to return to football, if at all. We will continue to provide updates as this story develops.
