Nakiri Ayame was always known to deal with adversity on the field since day 1. From her first snaps at junior ball, she was seen as too small to be a running back, but she no problem distinguishing herself from the rest of her peers, even in the DSFL when she was stuck behind K.K. Slider and Alita Battle Angel, Ayame was the go-to endzone RB. Her most challenging moment was during Ultimus 41, Ayame had under a thousand yards rushing for the first time in her career and was backing up JHM, the team and league's leading rusher. Facing a third and goal, Ayame had her make-or-break moment when Cape Town Crash QB Creg Jerrith IV threw the ball towards her in the endzone, if she had dropped it, the Crash would have not won the Ultimus, but, she did catch it resulting in the opening score of the game and a key part of why the Crash won the league championship that season.
