Kansas City has had some close calls that have gone their way late in the season, but they need to win to get in. They also need Minnesota to lose. Despite being in second place in the conference, their record across the board is identical to Minnesota’s. They have the same conference record, the same home and away records. They’ve even split the season Series against each other. What is really troublesome is the final matchups for both teams. Kansas City has to beat the 12-1 Luchadores while the Grey Ducks have a much easier opponent in the Buccaneers. If Kansas City loses, which is extremely likely, they will have to pray for the Ducks to fumble the gift wrapped box against Bondi Beach. If KCC had won both week 12 and 13 games, they’d have a much easier time getting into the playoffs. You still have to play the games though. If KCC can pull the upset, the playoffs are anyone’s game.
