Norfolk had a pretty rocky season. After a strong start, the team stalled and started picking up loss after loss. I think a big reason behind this was the pace of our growth. Across the DSFL, rookies classes have improved each year, and the competition is tough. While our players have been putting in great effort and contributions in the locker room, their development hasn’t peaked yet. To correct this for future seasons, we know that we must take a look at our team training programs and equipment availability, to ensure our young players have the best opportunities to grow and compete. Simultaneously, the Norfolk QB was sacked most across the DSFL, 56 times to date. This is a shame considering the Norfolk OL shows considerably good stats, over 80 pancakes combined and only 10 sacks allowed across the human OL. Perhaps this can be attributed to the play calling in certain situations, or the QB not getting rid of the ball soon enough, but this caused big problems for the Seawolves throughout the season.

Well Donovan Winters is a certified bust. He has led the Arizona Outlaws all season and has been terrible. The Outlaws have been eliminated from playoff contention for the first time in like a decade, and Donovan truly stunk it up under center. Donovan is last in the league with a pitiful 3351 yards, over 500 behind the second lowest passer, Absolute Unit. He is last in completions and attempts, luckily only fifth to last in completion percentage. He is actually is middle of the pack in TD passes, by way of Danny Nedelko getting tackled on the one yard line a bunch. Interceptions was also middle of the pack, but I am sure that his INT% is terrible, like everything he does. If Donny had just played ok instead of terrible, he could have continued the Outlaws' playoff streak, but alas. Hopefully the coaching staff make the right decision and draft a quarterback in the draft and cut winters.
Now that Sarasota has locked up a playoff berth, we really need to look at the details of our game and make sure we play mistake free football. We need to make sure we aren't committing too many penalties. We have to all make decisions that are in the best interest of the team. We all need to hit the books and watch as much film as we can. We are a good football team, but at this point, everyone left standing is a good football team. If this offense can get going in the right direction, it'll take a lot of pressure off the defense. If we can do that, I think our chances of winning and making a deep run are pretty good. This is a proud franchise, and we have a few banners up there from successful teams in the past. There's a lot of guys in this locker room who wants to make their own legacy. There are plenty of us who want to be apart of history and make this one of the best Sailfish seasons ever.

QB Mike Boss - HOF TE Johnny Blaze - HOF QB Mike Boss Jr WR Johnny Blaze Jr Quote:Written option: It's the last IRL week of the regular season. For those with playoff aspirations, what do you think the team you're on needs to do to make it to the big dance? For those that are mathematically eliminated, what could have been done differently? The New York Silverbacks are in the Playoffs as the number two seed I believe. There are a lot of things we need to do in order to have sustained success in the International Simulation Football League Playoffs. First off, we need to limit sacks and turnovers offensively. When our offense is moving the ball well, it's like a well-oiled machine. I think our offensive tempo really will start with running the ball - specifically making sure my player Frank Dux gets plenty of touches. He was the top running back and potential offensive player of the year in the ISFL this season. Additionally, our defense needs to do make sure they hold the opposing pass game in check and force turnovers. When they pressure the quarterback they are extremely efficient and it will be key to helping the offense run our gameplan like I know we should. If we can do this every game, we should be Ultimus champions. It's as simple as that. Code: 164 words
