So recently I had the idea for crowning an offensive, defense and special teamer of the week like in the NFL. What’s the NFL you may ask, well it’s a fake football league made to mimic ours for those who don’t have the talent to be part of the ISFL. Now when I presented this idea @"I Love Feet!" told me to be the change I wish to see, so here I am. I’m going to be crowning a DSFL offensive, defensive, and special teamer of the week for every week in the North and the South
Week 1:
North Offensive Player of the Week: QB KCC Leonard McRobinson 13/18 210yards 3TDs 1INT, 18 rushes 339 yards 4TDs
This is one I knew before I even looked at the index, this is already the performance of the year and probably the best performance since a long while ago. McRobinson had an efficient and good day passing but that’s not why he wins this. It’s the 339 rushing yards and 4TDs which is bound to have broken some records. To top it off this stellar performance led KCC to a 62-14 opening game victory over the Royals.
North Defensive Player of the Week: CB POR Xavier Moreno 5 tackles 6 PDs 2INTs
Portland's very own Xavier Moreno had an amazing game picking up two interceptions and had 6 pass deflections. His key interceptions, 6 passes deflected and all around great defensive play held Minnesota quarterback Tua TurnDaBallOva to a 54.9 rating and nearly carried Portland to a win.
North Special Teamer of the Week: K/P KCC Hearty Harry 8/8 XP 2/2 FG 40-49 yds 4 punts 179 yds 59 long 3 inside 20
Along with Kansas City’s elite offensive performance their kicker also had a great day. He didn’t miss on any of his ten kicks and managed to pin London inside the 20 on 3 of his 4 punts
South Offensive Player of the Week: QB BBB Thor Bollrsveifla 15/25 205yards 2TDs, 7 rushes 65 yards 1 TD
Another day, another victory for the scrambler QBs. This one was a lot harder, McChapperson had a great day passing for Dallas and Suzuka had a great day catching his balls, however Dallas still lost and in my opinion Thor played a better game than both of them. No turnovers on high efficiency and an opening day victory
South Defensive Player of the Week: LB TIJ Billy Ennair 8 tackles 1 sack 1 PD 1 FF 1INT
Billy Ennair played a great all around game and got a key interception to shift the momentum in Tijuana’s favor for their big comeback. He forced 2 turnovers along with getting to the quarterback and and being the glue of the defense
South Special Teamer of the Week: K/P BBB Wynn Jenkins 5/5 XP 1/1 FG 30-39 yds 7 punts 342 yds 62 long 4 inside 20
A lot of Bondi’s week 1 win can be attributed to winning the field position game. Jenkins pinned Norfolk in their own 20 four times and even flipped the field with a massive 62 yard punt. Along with this he went perfect on five extra points and his field goal.
Week 2:
North Offensive Player of the Week: RB POR Scorch Von Turbo 27 rushes 192 yards 2TDs, 1 catch 8 yards
In week 2 Von Turbo put up great numbers on great efficiency and had a nose for the endzone. The rookie eclipsed 200 yards from scrimmage on 7.2 yards per carry and almost carried Portland to the victory
North Defensive Player of the Week: S LON Paul Edgecomb 9 tackles 6 PDs 1INT
Although London lost this game their amazing pass defense nearly got them to victory. Edgecomb didn’t let Tua do anything, holding him to a 58% completion percentage and having 6 passes defended. Very similar to Moreno’s game the week before.
North Special Teamer of the Week: K/P MIN Eye-Hardly Knower 3/3 XP 3/4 FG 2/3 FG 50+ 6 punts 308 yards 62 long 2 inside 20
Top tier performance and name for Eye Hardly Knower. Knower hit two 50+ yard field goals including a 56 yarder for the win in overtime. His punting performance was also solid and ultimately Minnesota doesn’t win this game without him
South Offensive Player of the Week: QB TIJ C.J Breezy Jr. 26/35 471yards 5TDs 1INT
If it wasn’t for McRobinsons otherworldly week 1 performance I’d say this would have a good chance to be performance of the year. In a blowout win over Norfolk the reigning MVP dominated, nearly hitting 500 yards and throwing for 5 TDs. He had an insane 143.8 passer rating, I didn’t even know it went that high. He couldn’t have done this without his star receiver Pitter Patter who had a great 207 yards and 2 TDs
South Defensive Player of the Week: S BBB Matthew Bolt 4 tackles 1FF 1FR 4PDs 1INT
In a defense showdown between Bondi and Dallas, Bolt did all he could to give the Bucs the win. He forced 2 key turnovers, was great in pass coverage and a major reason why McChapperson could only complete 49% of his passes. It’s a shame he can’t play offense.
South Special Teamer of the Week: WR NOR Diego Lopez de Castilla 4KRs 96 yards 28 long 1PR 6 yards
DL wins it this time just because there was no one else. No kicker played a great game with the best kicker performance in the south this week being Jack Sloth who was perfect but didn’t do anything significant. To be fair Lopez didn’t do anything significant but why not give it to him.
Week 3:
North Offensive Player of the Week: RB MIN Willie Swaggert 10 rushes 68 yards 1TD 9 catches 88 yards 1TD
Swaggert was most of Minnesota's offense in their big win against KCC. He had a good day on the ground with low volume and high efficiency and got it done it the passing game as well
North Defensive Player of the Week: S POR Bamford In’Shambles(GM) 4 tackles 1 sack 1PD 1 safety
Sure there might have been some bias in this choice, it’s the first bot and it’s a Portland bot and my name is right there in it. But at the end of the day Portland's game was decided by 2 points and those 2 points came from In’Shambles safety.
North Special Teamer of the Week: CB MIN Micah Dixon 4KR 66 yards 3PR 75 yards long 76
Another Major component of Minnesota's close win was Dixon’s performance. Along with playing a good defensive game he had a 75 yard punt return which would’ve been a touchdown if the sim wasn’t garbage. That return set up the Grey Ducks at the 1 for an easy score.
South Offensive Player of the Week: QB DAL Chappy McChapperson 25/40 358yards 5 TD 1 INT
Chappy absolutely diced the Norfolk defense apart with 5 TD and over 350 yards. His offensive weapons Silence Suzuka and Reginald Arceneaux also had great games.
South Defensive Player of the Week: LB BBB Pete Moss 18 tackles 5TFLs 1 sack
Blorgl, Blorgl, Blorgl, BLORGL. Rumor has it that Blorgls are inherently suspicious of potatoes, so no potatoes here. The almighty Blorgl had an insane game racking up nearly 20 tackles and 5 TFLs. Portland did run the ball 50 times so no wonder Blorgl put up these number. Great performance by Blorgl, now we must Blorgl to the Blorgl of Blorgl.
South Special Teamer of the Week: K/P TIJ Jack Sloth 5/5 XP 2/2 FG 5 punts 240 yards 2 inside 20
Sloth has been Mr. reliable for Tijuana doing exactly what they need, just getting the kicks in. This week he wasn’t asked to do anything too crazy with his longest kick being a 37 yard field goal in garbage time but going 7/7 on kicks is quite impressive.
Week 4:
North Offensive Player of the Week: WR LON Aaron Ford 6 receptions 130 yards 1 TD
Every single team in the north lost this week and no quarterback had a good game. Ford played great for London and had a long touchdown reception to keep London in the game. A great game for the best rookie London receiver
North Defensive Player of the Week: LB POR Xavier Buckley 11 tackles 1 TFL 2 sacks
The better half of the Portland GM duo had an amazing game against the best offense in the league being everywhere, he was defending passes, making tackles and getting to the quarterback. Although Portland blew a 20-7 to lead in this one it definitely wasn’t because of Buckley.
North Special Teamer of the Week: K/P KCC Hearty Harry 2/2 XP 1/1 FG 4 punts 191 yards 2 inside 20
Hearty Harry did everything asked of him this week making all of his kicks and punting well
South Offensive Player of the Week: QB DAL Chappy McChapperson 26/39 308yards 4 TDs
For the second week in a row McChapperson is the best of the week with an exquisite performance. He played great football and led Dallas to a dominant win over the supposedly good Grey Ducks
South Defensive Player of the Week: LB TIJ Iman Outlaw 10 tackles 4 TFLs 1 sack
Iman Outlaw had a stat sheet stuffing day against the Pythons with a high 4 tackles for loss, maybe we should run the ball less
South Special Teamer of the Week: K/P TIJ Jack Sloth 2/2 XP 3/3 FG 1/1 FG 50+ 5 punts 202 yards 1 inside 20
To be honest, I didn’t have to look at any other ones, this is winning it. Sloth hit 3 long field goals in Tijuana’s comeback on the Pythons including a 53 yarder to put Tijuana in great position for the win. As much as it hurt me gotta give credit where credits due
Week 1:
North Offensive Player of the Week: QB KCC Leonard McRobinson 13/18 210yards 3TDs 1INT, 18 rushes 339 yards 4TDs
This is one I knew before I even looked at the index, this is already the performance of the year and probably the best performance since a long while ago.
