Mock Draft is a bit late this year, but we still ball, I will be judging who i think that the teams will pick at this point in the season. I have not deep dived into all of the prospects or even talked to any of the ISFL teams but feel like i can get a general idea of what they might be considering come draft day
1oa: New Orleans Second Line
LB Oxford Comma @domffl
Linebacker is still one of New Orleans biggest needs, with Fred Edison gettting hit extra hard by regression and I view Domffl as one of the top users in this draft. With that being said it make perfect sense for the Second Line to select Oxford Comma with this first pick in this draft as he would provide much needed help to the secondline on and off the field this would be an slam dunk pick for NOLA
2oa: Yellowknife Wraiths
WR KrustyKrab Pizza @Dindog
The Wraiths are a young team but have holes in many key spots, one of those being the WR room where they might be looking too expand upon. Dindog is one of the best users in this draft aswell and has had expierence as a GM in the DSFL and could come in and make an instant impact as a high earner who likely will be worth the pick no matter what they do with their offense
3oa San Jose Sabercats
CB Devin Jones @Drizzy
While SJS doesnt have too many real needs in this draft, with a bunch of younger players accross their team, i think that they will be tempted to find a long term replacement to Cornerback Brooks Piggott, and with Devin Jones on the board as a high earner at CB they might be tempted to select him at this point. Drizzy is also a former GM in this league and may be able to bring soem of that expierence with him to help SJS navigate the next few seasons
4oa Cape Town Crash
S PeePee Poop-Eater Jr. @Nathan
Jasper Fontaine and Aleksandr Milescu have been a great duo for Cape Town for many seasons however it seems like that era is ending soon, I have the Crash taking a safety to pair with their pick last year Sebastian Lovecraft, and they hope that Poop-Eater can combine too create another fierce duo in the secondary for the crash. Nathan has had a successful and loyal career with his last player so the crash is hoping they can take advantage again
*order might be wrong since so many tied teams this year
5oa Berlin Firesalamanders
LB Léopold Roy @Gordon Bombay
The Fire Salamanders are getting close to losing long term Linebacker Kevin McThumper, so looking at a new option in Roy and current London GM Gordon Bombay would be able to fit in perfectly with the fire salamanders. Roy is a player i would not be surprised if he rose to a top 3 pick come the actual draft but for now i have him going to Europe to play for the fire salamanders
6oa New York Silverbacks
RB Purdy mediocre @KaleSalad
New York has a aging offense so I would not be surprised if they ended up selecting a Running Back with this pick. KaleSalad is a recreate who had a long and successful career with his last player and would be able to be the long term replacement to the dominant Frank Dux and would be able to hopefully step into his shoes seemlessly
7oa Orange County Otters
RB Dru Freduci @Keyg_an
While the otters have a very good RB duo, i have them selecting someone for the future in Freduci, Leandre Diarra is regressing harder and is likely to be replaced sooner while Reginald Shrubbery is entering their prime so pairing them with a longer term option in Freduci might be a great pick as they will be able to have a seemless transition. Keygan is a long term sim league user with a long of expierence throughout sim leagues so would be a great pick for the otters
8oa Chicago Butchers
WR Silence Suzuka @xenosthelegend
The Butchers are likely losing Austin Morley in the near future due to regression and with only Sem’ga Nah’sim as a young WR option, i think they will likely look at Suzuka here. Xenos is a long term user with a proven earning history and a legendary meming ability i believe that the Butchers will be thrilled to be able to bring a proven earner in to their team
9oa Arizona Outlaws
RB Corey Trevor @DigDoug11
The Outlaws are a team known for their Runningbacks, and surprisingly they currently do not have one in their pipeline. Luckily for them in this mock they are able to snag Corey Trevor. This is a user that i would not be surprised to see rise up the rankings as a exciting newer user from the SHL. The Outlaws will be happy to be able to keep their RB machine churning with Trevor coming up the pipeline
10oa Colorado Yeti
S Miller Light @crow19
With - Cross-Eriksen on the verge of death and Felix Waterman earning at a slower rate, I see the Yeti excitingly picking Miller Light with this pick, bringing a high earning Safety to pair with Mary Maire long term, Crow19 is a user who has come back after a absense but know the Yeti GM well so i feel like this would be a pick that makes a lot of sense for the yeti
11oa Austin Cooperheads
WR Chopper Donquixote @amjohnson636
The Cooperheads have two very old WRs and noone else in the pipeline, i imagine that they will be looking at the WRs on the board and hoping one slides to them, Luckily for them in this mock, Donquixote does, and should be able to carve out a long career with the Cooperheads as their top two options are both in regression
12oa NOLA (via Baltimore Hawks)
K Jack Sloth @slothfacekilla
With the later pick that Baltimore has traded too NOLA, i have them picking the top kicker in this draft Jack Sloth. Sloth has a long history with the Second Line at one point being the GM of the team and their starting QB, with their super long term kicker Alfonso Dos Santos on his last leg i see them taking a kicker in this draft. When it comes to the real draft i would not be surprised if they waited til the 2nd since its only a few picks away and their are a few very good kickers in this draft, however i wanted to put sloth in the first so i did if u dont like it make ur own mock
13oa Honolulu Hahalua
OL Octavio Volarus @CementHands
Honolulu is very much in a competitive window right now, but they have one enemy that they one real enemy. The Cap, they currently have two offensive Linemen who are almost at a unuable level, and are projected to not have really any cap space left, this is where recreate CementHands comes in. Cement who at one point spent time in Honolulu with his player in the S20s, will be able to help prevent Honolulu from taking any competitive disadvantages of having to lose a player due to cap issues
14oa Sarasota Sailfish
DE D’Jasper Probincrux IV @jreed12
The Sailfish have a few things they likely wanna address in this draft however picking 14, they likely will look at filling that last spot on their DL which is missing due too Mister Freddy entering the regression graveyard after this year, Probincrux is a new user however he has written some media and seems to earning at a steady rate so likely will be able to be a great pick for the sailfish to help them continue to compete
Thank you for reading my mock! i likely will be looking a bit harder for the next one and hopefully will be able to create a solid top of the draft selection for most teams! and if you havent been selected or are later remember that this is only based on my own dumb ideas! have a happy new year everyone
