This is somehow @fnordypsyduck and @MikeWhiskey ‘s fault

Teams have been punished for gaming the waiver system to get players, make multis for their own team, and keep ineligible players on their depth chart even after a warning - all have never results in a loss of a draft pick. The DSFL is all about developing using for the ISFL and for the GMs to get their feet wet on the management side. Why are we hampering their ability to develop their users and also punishing the team as a whole?I hope y'all appeal this and I hope the IA users that make up appeals team see how absolutely nonsensical this punishment is. Although I'd say this decision is completely on par with what's to be expected with the Wolkers Administration (02-18-2024, 11:14 PM)Painted Wrote: How stupid, hon intentionally tanks but kcc gets punished for losing a player?? HO saying like we did it on purpose and tried to get away with it. It was a mistake. We reported it as soon as we noticed. We instantly said this was our mistake. HO acting like we committed murder. Making a mountain out of a mole hole just because they're bored. Fucking bullshit.

We I’ll give my real 2 cents on this.
Here’s what I suspect happened, KCC likely already had submitted their DC before the call up, then didn’t change it after. Normally I would say oh well and move on, but NOR seems to feel slighted from this, and a resim catches the other 6 teams in collateral. To make it clear, I still hold the KCC gms in the highest regards but I think the punishment is fair, especially when you’ve missed part of the job description. There’s not a clean solution here. I don’t envy anyone involved. I think HO did an excellent job here finding some form of middle ground that is as in invasive to the unaffected parties as possible. What’s funny is I was trying to look out for HO and not be put on blast by the community for this decision aaaand look where we’re at now because they didn’t bother discussing any of the points I brought to them.(02-18-2024, 11:13 PM)firstfray Wrote: So a DSFL team has never been fined a draft pick but now when a team has a midseason callup (which rarely happens), was missed by simmers since it was also posted in the call ups channel, and it was self reported by the KCC GM immediately once it was noticed and its okay? Teams have purposefully made multi's while have top waiver priority and openly cheated and got fined less. What really happened, was we had 2 doc's labeled that weeks DC one with the called up player and one without. We copy and pasted the wrong one in our channel. That's what happened. We reported it second we realized it. We'll take the fine no problem. Fining a draft pick is the harshest punishment that's been handed down that isn't outright removal. |
