Yo I need some serious cash for pro equipment, just absolutely load me up with questions.
@ItsJustBarry @HENDRIX @evryday @Raven
@kckolbe: After any insanely good start, the Hawks are actually in danger of missing the playoffs entirely. How do you feel about their chances?
I feel like our chances are incredibly good. I feel as though the shaky play as of late has been a result of some tough away games and just the ASFC being a better conference, and us not being ready for some of the weapons the Otters have. Mike Boss is genuinely the best quarterback in the league, and to say he's not is ridiculous. I feel as though we got a little bit cocky with an easier early schedule, but we are going to bear down on strategizing and making sure we can play to our greatest abilities and we will still be able to make the playoffs.
@iamslm22: What is it like in Baltimore?
In Baltimore, it is fantastic. Even with the riots that have occurred in recent years, it is a great place to live and to hang out around. The stadium is in a beautiful place overlooking downtown Baltimore, and sometimes me, Antoine, and Avon will chill for hours after practice admiring the city that we represent and defend. (@37thchamber)
Who's your favorite team to face?
I love facing the Yeti and the Legion because of the easy victories, but my favorite games are those against the Wraiths. I consider Francois Lamoreaux a good friend and anytime we face off we throw trash talk back and forth at each other and it is always a good time, win or lose. But mostly win. (@Archon)
What are goals for this season and beyond?
My goals for this season specifically are to be in the conversation for defensive rookie of the year and to make the playoffs. There has been speculation that I may make the Pro Bowl, but I will leave that to speculation, I am only a rookie, and I cannot control the Pro Bowl. For the future, who knows? I hope to win an Ultimus at one point, and being the Defensive Player of the Year sounds like a great achievement. I certainly want to stay out of scandals of the like of Mat Akselsen and Logan Noble, where the HO has to suspend me, and that is priority number one. (@Bzerkap @Noble)
Which defensive player do you try to emulate?
I try to emulate Cameron Wake and Luis Castillo. Those guys were absolute beasts. They were just solid players for the most part but when they come up big, they come up big. They're just very physical players and I hope to play like them.
What's the best game you've had so far?
I had a 3 sack game, which the guys around the league gave me crap for boasting about, but I was proud of that. I especially hate Josh Bercovici, so it was fun to hit him a bunch. I also got 4 tackles, so I shut down my good friend Ardie Savea as well. (@Merica @Ben)
@HENDRIX: What do you think of Sandoval's performance so far?
So far, I believe my performance has been great, if not dominant. In terms of being a defensive tackle, it's an absolute honor to even be mentioned in the same breath as Dan Miller, let alone be talked about as part of the "Big 3" of defensive tackles in the weekly lists. (@7hawk77)
Which of your skills needs the most improvement?
Looking back at some of my film, or most of my film actually, I've noticed I take quite a while getting off of the line, which definitely needs some work. I've hit a point where I don't feel like I'm getting any faster, so I'm trying to improve my strength to break through offensive lines faster after getting off the line slow.
How did you mourn Hugh Hefner?
I didn't. I believe he's still alive. Legends never die.
What hitter would you prefer in a baseball lineup: one that bats 1.000 hitting only singles, .500 hitting only doubles, .333 hitting only triples, or .250 hitting only HRs?
I'd like to have a 1.000 hitter hitting only singles, because if you can get a guaranteed OBP of 1.000, that's playing straight moneyball, shoutout to my boy Billy Beane.
@37thchamber: What's the toughest part of playing defensive tackle?
The toughest part of playing defensive tackle is letting linebackers and cornerbacks get the interception and TFL statistics because you're opening holes in the offensive line and pressuring the quarterback, but we just have to swallow our pride sometimes and hope we get our due respect.
What's the best part?
No one fucks with the defensive tackles in the locker room. We're some mean motherfuckers in the locker room, and if you cross us, you're getting your cheeks taken. Guaranteed.
If you could have played any other position in football, what would you choose?
Definitely offensive lineman. I played it leading all the way up to college, and there is no better satisfaction than protecting a man everyone admires and getting your props from the quarterback, even if the rest of the fans underappreciate you. Also, no one fucks with them in the locker room, either.
Walk us through your usual workout plan...
I just eat whatever the hell I want and then I go run for 2 hours, life for 1 hour, and then I run 1 on 1s with whoever's available for about 6 hours.
Honestly, though... how many times have you viewed the videos of Saskatoon's finest?
Hot Take: Fuck Saskatoon. Toadsuck, Arkansas is better.
