Hello everybody! Welcome to the most torn apart mock draft you will see, as Mr. Griddy didn’t get his writeups done and I don’t want him punished since he is in a war room. Because of that, it will only be my picks and my writeups. I was in control of the ASFC part of the ISFL, as Griddy was not able to mock for the San Jose Sabercats. That doesn’t matter now though, since he frauded on me. With all that being said, welcome to my mock draft of the ASFC teams with mysterious gaps for your creativity to fill in. This order is also from like 2 weeks ago (February 24th to be specific), yet again because Griddy frauded on me and never did his writeups.
Dunkler Sowerwine - 1.01 - HON
Stroking Dunkler’s ego here is never fun, but I think based on him being a max earner so far and there being much better depth in other positions, he is the 1.01. Honolulu will chase high tpe and great users, something that Dunkler provides. The Dunk Tank looks to make an instant impact on the rebuilding Honolulu team.
Brad Woof - 1.03 - HON
Brad Woof is already becoming one of the great users in the league, making media pieces like The Doghouse (my personal favorite). Bringing him in will put an absolute dog on the field. Brad looks to become the eventual wide receiver one for Honolulu, hoping to bring them to greatness.
Swantavius Stack - 1.05 - NYS
The New York Silverbacks need offensive linemen and they need them bad. Because of this, they turned to the highest earning offensive lineman in Swantavius Stack. This gives the New York Silverbacks their offensive lineman of the future, building up the trenches. Yet again, a possible max earner which I believe will be a trend early in the draft.
Luke Laraque - 1.07 - SJS
The San Jose Sabercats are in an interesting position. They have a really high earning defensive end at the moment. However, they are nearing the point of regression so it is time to bring in another defensive end who will be DE2 until Alex Armstrong either regresses below Laraque or Alex retires. This may seem like a reach, but the shallow defensive end position allows this pick to be made where they can go to other positional needs later.
SkibidiGyat OhioRizzler - 1.10 - SJS
The San Jose Sabercats get a top 5 earner in the class so far here at pick 10. He will be able to be the CB3 until Brooks Piggott ultimately starts regressing. SJS is building for the future, and sometimes that means taking a strong player in a position that will be a need soon in the future. SkibidiGyat OhioRizzler will be a great replacement for Brooks Piggott whenever he decides to retire or regresses too far to be viable over OhioRizzler.
JJ What? - 1.11 - AUS
The Austin Copperheads desperately need a wide receiver, only having 2 on their roster and both being deep in regression. JJ What?, as long as he is consistently earning, will be the wide receiver one very soon for the copperheads. He looks to be a big building block for the future of Austin. The linkup between JJ What? and Jay Cue III will be deadly for seasons to come.
Ranch Pizza Pizza Man - 1.12 - OCO
Another defensive end comes flying off the board here. The Orange County Otters are actually really well built in my opinion. The biggest hole I could find was the lack of a 2nd defensive end. Because of that, they take Ranch Pizza Pizza Man here. Although the consequences of this pick is that one ranch gif always lurking in your locker room, the need of a defensive end is greater than the consequences of the user in my opinion. Ranch Pizza Pizza Man looks to make a great edge combo with Crazy Tomato.
Tyler Higbee II - 1.13 - AZ
I’m gonna be honest, the Arizona Outlaws have close to zero needs. The only gap in the team I saw was the tight end position so I decided to reach on the most active discord member in the league. Tight ends seem to not make a big difference and get very little stats. However, some things go unnoticed like holding an extra rusher long enough for the QB to throw it to the faster wide receiver. That doesn’t appear on the stat sheet but makes a major impact on the game. This pick is mostly because they have no glaring needs so they pick a really good user and hope that he switches positions lol.
Walter Yensid - 2.01 - HON
I still don’t understand how he fell to the second round again but Honolulu’s mouth is currently watering at this potentially happening. Walter is one of the best users of this class, getting involved everywhere he can. He is also a very good earner and in a much needed position for Honolulu. They do not hesitate to take him here, still wondering how he managed to get this far.
Lane Wilson - 2.03 - NOLA
Lane Wilson goes off the board here as a top 3 earner at the wide receiver position. Although Lane is not as seen as a Tim Riggins or JJ What? in the discord, their activity is shown by their tpe. They have been consistently earning behind the scenes, pushing themselves up and up the draft board. With a WR’s contract expiring and another regressing below the 250 DSFL cap, Lane Wilson will be looking to come in at the WR3, bolstering the WR room already full with Hank Mardukas and Thomas Passarelli. The New Orleans Second Line gets themself a high earner early in the second round.
Dominic Reynolds - 2.05 - NYS
The New York Silverbacks double dip in offensive linemen early in this draft. They get Dominic Reynolds, a great user who won’t shy away from a pancake, here in the second round. They still were only left with one offensive lineman, even with the Swantavius Stack pick, so they grabbed another one. This gives them 2 young offensive lineman to build upon. Building from the trenches can be tough, but, if done right, it can lead to some of the most successful teams in the league.
Maurice “Mo Money” Gunner - 2.13 - ARI
Maurice has had an interesting start to his DSFL career. However, I believe his worst days are behind him. This pick gives the Arizona Outlaw a refresh at defensive tackle, which allows them to let Scruffy the Janitor walk or sign to a short term deal. If Maurice is consistently earning, we could see him take over as the second defensive tackle on the team as early as season 3. Also, if he is willing to go the defensive, he could have the starting job secured almost right away if Good Player is not extended or resigned.
There is my totally incomplete draft from nearly 2 weeks ago. I hope you enjoyed and take every single pick I made to heart. Make sure to mention me 15 times if I ever get a pick wrong. Anyways, thanks for suffering through the confusion and letting me attempt a janky mock draft. 2nd round of Roque’s mock will be done by tomorrow night (unless I get busy again, but currently on pace).
