When it comes to who I believe will have the best shot of making the Ultimini, I believe it's going to be between the Arizona Outlaws and the Chicago Butchers. Every time the Ultimus comes around, I always have high faith that it'll be an underdog vs one of the #1 seeds. Feels like it's rare for it to just be the top two teams facing off in the Ultimus, which is a good thing honestly because that just makes it more exciting. It's also why I can't see SJS making in into the Ultimus and winning compared to Arizona, as SJS has a history of only winning when they're the underdog meme team that everyone is rallying around. So I kinda feel like Arizona's just going to beat them because of that, haha. As fore the Butchers, I think it's long overdue for them to make it and I can definitely see them being the team that seeks to forge it's path into the history books pretty big time this season. They're hungry, so they're going to go BIG, is my opinion. And thus, that's also why I believe the Butchers will ultimately be the winner at the end of the day.
Of course the Yeti are not going to be involved in the playoffs this season, but I still have some playoff hot takes nevertheless. In the first round, I think Wolfie McDummy Jr is finally going to get a playoff win by defeating the Cape Town Crash at home, and while the New Orleans Secondline might have a very good shot of breaking their own playoff winless streak, they'll ultimately go home in defeat. In the championship round, I think the Sabercats might actually beat the Outlaws, to give us a real shot at a non-default ISFL server icon, and while the NSFC game will be hard to predict, for the sake of drama I'm going to say that the Hawks get the only road victory of the playoffs against the Butchers. In the Ultimus, the Sabercats will do to Wolfie McDummy Jr as they did to his father, and take home the trophy for the first time in over 20 years.

Well, first of all, I want whoever grade this to either DM me or ping me in main chat and say “avocado”. That aside, I think I’ll focus on the ISFL for this one since I haven’t paid attention to the DSFL in a bit. I think there’s a conference that is so overwhelmingly better that it almost makes me think of when they used to say the NFC Championship Games between the 49ers and Cowboys was the “real Super Bowl”, since they’d obviously blow out whoever came from the AFC. In this case, I’m talking about the ASFC. The NSFC is a dumpster fire and if I’m honest, I wouldn’t be shocked at whoever makes it to the Ultimus. Chicago somehow got the 1 seed in the middle of a tanking season. Baltimore, who I thought were obvious favourites going into the season, somewhat crashed and burned their way to the 2 seed when they should have steamrolled everyone. And CTC, who also looked like they were tanking and almost didn’t make it if it wasn’t for a final day miracle over YKW, the only team to lose to COL this season. Baltimore should take it on paper but… I don’t know. It barely matters, since the champion should almost certainly come from the ASFC, since SJS and AZ have both built juggernauts that have been blessed by the sim, and NOLA could maybe exorcise their demons. I take it that whoever wins between AZ and SJS is the champion unless something funny happens.
There's only one option for winning the Ultimini trophy, and of course that is the mighty Grey Ducks. This team has it all, and most importantly, has a history of winning it all when an Oles is on the team. Tyler Oles III looks to add to the legacy that Kazimir Oles JR created, the man who helped the Grey Ducks go quack to quack. While he may not be the QB like Kaz was, he looks to make his mark and help the team find the plays needed to win it all. Minny has one more game in the regular season, but the team is poised to have the best record in the league when all is said and done. They have already locked up the best record in the North, and they look to get the best record overall and build momentum into the playoffs. With the best defense by points in the DSFL, and the 3rd highest scoring offense, they can knock you down and run you out if you get behind. Ultiminny is coming soon, and then after that it will be Quack to Quack part 2
Now that we are at the Ultimus playoffs, let's see how they will play out. If we all going to the honest, the champion will most likely come from the ASFC. The ASFC contains multiple DPOY candidates and MVP candidates as well as the three best teams record wise in the league. Honestly, it could go to anyone of the three: the Second Line, Outlaws, or the Sabercats. Let's make the case for all three. The Sabercats have the MVP and DPOY, (much to my chagrin), the Outlaws have the most playoff experience, and the Second Line are the most balanced team of the three. In the first round, NOLA vs AZ could be close; I'm going to be biased and say that we can beat AZ on the road. In the real Ultimus, us vs SJS, I believe our gain in TPE and experience will allow us to advance to the Ultimus to finally take back what's ours.
The chase for the Ultimus should be fascinating. On the one side, you have the juggernauts of the ASFC; the San Jose Sabercats, Arizona Outlaws, and New Orleans Second Line, likely the three best teams in the entire league. That isn't just hype, either. San Jose's 13-3 record, Arizona's 12-4 record, and New Orleans' 11-5 record were the top 3 finishes in the league (with NOLA overall looking more impressive than fellow 11-5 finisher Chicago thanks to the substantial point differential). On the other side, the NSFC looks particularly vulnerable. Chicago leads the division at 11-5 after a surprising run, Baltimore limped to a 10-6 finish, and Cape Town barely squeaked in at 9-7.
Yet, all is not lost for the NSFC challengers. Baltimore did manage to steal a game away from Arizona during the season, and San Jose got trounced by the NSFC's 4th place finisher Wraiths at home. Will it be enough for the NSFC to pull off the upset and hoist the Ultimus trophy?
Eeeeuuugghh... probably not.
The fact is that, while the ASFC will be a bloodbath, any ASFC team in the Ultimus game will have home field advantage. That means they'll be facing an overachieving Chicago squad, stumbling Baltimore squad, or a Cape Town squad that really suffers in away games. I don't know which ASFC team will win, but it will almost certainly be the ASFC representative taking home the title in S47.
Obviously we're not going to be making the playoffs this seasosn but I'm very interested on seeing how it shakes out. We had a up and down season here in Hawaii but it was ton of fun and I would not change any of it for the world. Obviously I was not always the better player on the field, I was actually just sitting around drinking ranch this season. But, I did make sure to help my teamates succeed whenever possible. I gave the best advice on how to drink ranch when playing the game and I sometimes even showed them how to bathe in pepperoni. It was a lot of fun and we're all excited for what will happen next season. We have the draft coming up, and we're most likely gonna add some amazing players to our team and it is gonna be amazing to watch us grow
San Jose has had a magical season that most didn't see coming, including themselves! In the offseason, we were forced to take a deeper look at our personnel and figure.out how we could maximize our star players, that had seen some lesser production. During this time, we made some revelations that seek to have really unlocked the potential that was hidden below the surface all along and now we're playing at a level we always hoped we could. We've seen Kenny Z take on a new role and set the world on fire as a record-setting blocker! Patterson hlput up an MVP season after many seasons of average to below average play! We're really proud for the strides we've made and thi k we've have a great shot at taking home our First championship in over 20 seasons! Well face some tough teams including AZ bur were confident in our chances
