Through the first part of the season, the Sabercats are just simply on fire. Currently, the team is sitting at 6-1 with the largest point differential in the league. The key to this early season success has been the amazing defensive performance. DJ McClean has to be recognized as the catalyst to the success of the defense. McClean has 9 sacks this season which is good for second in the league. He is also third in tackles helping the Sabercats clamp down on any opposing teams. Of course if we look on the offensive side of the ball it is clear to see that quarterback play is also a strength for San Jose. With 22 touchdowns to only 3 interceptions, Patterson is absolutely slinging the rock this season. His QB rating is an absurd 22 points higher than the closest competitor. At this pace we are looking at an easy MVP if he can continue his success.
