Hello fellow sim league members, if you don't know my name yet, first off, how?!, second off, you will soon when I'm blowing up the backfield, and third off, hey, my name is Finn Murphy, LB for the best team in the DSFL, the London Royals. For all you youngsters who haven't been in the league too long yet, you may not know why I'm so excited to be back in London. Well, it's a long story really, but a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, na I'm kidding, it's not actually that long of a story. I'll go over a quick summary of the story of my past and then get into what it means to be a London Royal once again.
So, like I said before, all you youngsters may not know me too well yet just ask your dads or older guys in the league (like @Sebster, @slate, and @katarn22) because they have been here a LONG TIME, and so know me (and dinosaurs) the best (love you guys, thanks for everything you've done for me). Jokes aside, those 3 people I named have actually been the best people I have met in this league, they have helped me through so much in my time here and wouldn't be here without them so thank you to them. Slate and Katarn were my first GMs I've ever had, and the best GMs I've ever had. They showed me what the sim league life is like and really helped get me hooked. And who could forget about Sebster, (no really, who can forget you, it impossible) Sebster has been one of my favorite people I have met in this league and has really helped me become the member I am today. He taught me the ropes on how to deal with all this and stay on top of it. I'm getting off topic though so back to the story. Back in the middle of 2021 (wow I've been here longer than I've thought, maybe I'm old too, scary) I was bored and looking for some fun to do and found this league, my first player, Bradley Welch, was so fun to play with, and was drafted by, you guessed it. the London Royals!!!! Being on the Royals was such a fun first sim league experience and I enjoyed every second of it. I made so many friendships during my time in London, including creating quite a chemistry with my then QB Parm, and my good friend Sebster, who I talk to all the time still with my current player. When I was finally called up to the bigs to play in Berlin, I was traded to Yellowknife before I could even play a single snap. Me going to Yellowknife couldn't have worked out any better though, as when I got there, I switched my position to a RB and did pretty well. Over the career of that first player, I gathered many accomplishments, including 3x DSFL Pro Bowler, a 1x ISFL ORotY nomination, 3x DSFL Returner of the Year nomination, and 1x DSFL Returner of the Year winner, and 20 London Royals franchise records broken. Unfortunately, though, life hit me, and I was away for a bit, with little quick appearances here and there but nothing too serious, till now. Now I'm back and better than ever, ready to take over the league once again.
So, there's a little backstory on me and my past, hopefully I didn't put everyone to sleep (especially the old heads). Thank you all for listening though. I just want to give a huge shoutout to everyone who has helped me along the way and showed me what I need to know for this league, especially everyone part of that London team I first played with. Without y'all, I wouldn't be back and so happy to rejoin the London Royals!!!! With that though, I bid you all a farewell and see you on the field. Oh, and one more thing for my London crew, BANG BANG...
