I will not be returning to Arizona when my contract ends after this season. Though I have loved my time in Arizona and have used my insight multiple times for transactions and to help the team, I will be moving on from Arizona after this season to look at other options. Arizona has always been like a home, I was constantly helping keep the team together during the first season and enjoyed playing with the likes of Asipi and Ernston, regardless of how annoying they were. My favorite memory was probably the S2 draft where we absolutely dominated and swept who we wanted for the most part. Luechly, Pest, and Davis were three of my pet cats and we were able to reel all of them back to the team. That was a great accomplishment for the front office and myself, as we were able to put an amazing nucleus in place to produce a repeat. With that said, it was around the end of S2 that I began to realize that the league wasn't challenging me anymore. I led the league in tackles and was kind of stuck in my middle linebacker spot and we were so good that it was hard to envision any team making enough moves to compete with us.
So with this move, I am hoping that I will be able to find a team that is a challenge and try to help them climb to the top. At this point, that's pretty much any team that isn't the Outlaws because they are straight up dominant. They are going to three peat to start the league, which is crazy and very impressive. I think that for the league to survive there needs to be some increased parity and I think this move could push the league towards that slightly. I'm not the best player on the team, but I like to think that I am one of the better linebackers in the NSFL and could make a difference on any team that I am put onto, though probably can't change the game singlehandedly.
I would like to thank ADwyer for drafting me, which was still too late, and for giving me a chance to help build the Outlaws and have an input in the direction that the team got to take. He has supported most of what I've done and that's all I can ask from a general manager, somebody who is a friend and leader, but respects the boundary that allows me to do my own thing. I would thank my original GM, but Bushito was a pretty shitty GM and teammate. Thanks to Er for helping me figure out the best way to build my player and who to become the best linebacker I could be. Leading the league in tackles through two seasons is pretty cool and hopefully my success will continue when I'm on a team without him. You guys were really good GMs and I loved seeing all the work you put in to keep guys active and to constantly make moves.
I also want to thank my teammate Harriff Ernston for being so great. I know we thought we would be Outlaws together forever, but I think its in my best interest and potentially the league's best interest that I continue my career elsewhere. We were easily the best linebacker duo that the league has witnessed, but now you will have my good friend Luke Luechly to step in and fill the void that I am leaving. He will be better than me soon, so don't worry too much. Also major props to my buddy Reg Mackworthy, he developed a great running back and was always funny for me to talk to. Super sweet guy who just cared about the team being successful. I'm glad that he is the one leading the league in rushing and will be the best running back through the first three seasons when all is said and done. He was a good early round pick and hopefully will continue to develop into a beast, even though his work ethic seems to have slowed a tad bit.
Tim Pest, you were probably my favorite teammate because you are such a sweetheart and the nicest person on this site, easily the best Outlaw I had the chance to play with, there is nobody I would rather link up with on a team again. I've never heard anybody say a bad word about you except the jerks who mocked your English, but they don't know how smart you actually are so fuck those guys. You are also not a great teammates, but the best offensive lineman in the league. Thanks for being such a beast for us, your development and work ethic have been unmatched over the past 2 seasons.
Huge shoutout to Luke Luechly, you were one of my favorite teammates. One of the funniest dudes and I loved how maturely immature you were. It's going to suck not sharing a team with you, but I know you will do a great job stepping in as my replacement as middle linebacker and will continue to develop into an excellent player, easily the steal of the draft. I hope we can play together again one day because you're absolutely one of the most dope people.
Now with all those thank you's out of the way, I want to say that I am sad to leave Arizona, but excited for the potential opportunity outside of the desert. I think there are a couple of teams that could use my talent up front and a couple of teams I could step in and immediately be the best linebacker for. I am going to be looking for a team that is dedicated to my commitment, has some sort of chance of winning soon, and is ready to put me in a scheme that will help me be successful from the moment I step onto the team. Hopefully I will find this, and thank you Arizona for your time. Let's finish season three.
