I've started writing articles again, but it occurs to me that I've never done a presser. Feel free to ask me about my player, the Wraiths, or really anything at all. Both in-character and out-of-character questions are welcome.
With your recent talk of playing time being a major factor, will you be looking to test FA in S5?
At this point, anything is on the table and I'm very excited (and very anxious) to see how S4 works out for me. There are a few teams out there that could use a starting RB and I made a big leap forward this season in TPE. I love the dynamic of the Wraiths locker room and would absolutely miss it. I definitely want to be a contributor to my team and not just ride the bench. If I did go to another team, it would be to make a difference.
My fear at this point is getting locked into a contract without a clear role. After an obvious huge S1 (League MVP), Nuck has slowed down due to just having other things on his plate. I could theoretically bypass him in S4 or S5, but I don't think I will be able to do that in S3. And that's assuming he doesn't re-focus his efforts and go back to being the TPE beast that he once was, which could happen at any time. I have the utmost respect for Nuck as a player and as a person. I also wouldn't ask the Wraiths to dedicate time to me if I weren't the best person for that slot and the bar is high right now. S3 was good to me as a receiver and I've even given thought to switching over to the Receiving Archetype, but it's hard to bank on that happening again with two of the WRs in the NSFL and a enthusiastic TE on the rise. At the end of the day, I want to find the best solution for myself and the Wraiths. Even if I do go to FA, I'll be well over 400 TPE by the end of this season and the free cap space will hopefully lead to the Wraiths getting a high TPE player in a spot that they need.
Do you believe Amendola is a more handsome version of Edelman?
Yes, but Amendola has more of that pretty boy model look. He's like Ryan Gosling in a football uniform. On the other hand, Edelman has that rough, manly factor to him. He could fix your car and still look good doing it. Amendola probably couldn't stop looking in the mirror long enough to figure out what tools to use.
Any thoughts on how last season went for the Wraiths? What do you think went wrong? What do you think went right?
I don't want to just say the sim hates us, but damn, the sim hates us. I think, at least to some degree, it was bad luck. That's not a very helpful answer, but that's why I'm glad I'm not a GM. So many of the right pieces are there that it's hard to tell where we fell short. I do think, legitimately, that a lot of the lower-projected teams stepped up and played extremely well. It's always a credit to the league when the underdogs pick up big wins. I just wish a few of them had come from the Outlaws and not us.
I do think the Maddox switch left a big gap and that Askins and I had to work together to fill it. The fact that we didn't is a huge nod to Maddox as a player, but we'll try again next year and hopefully manage to do so with better results. I think the Akselsen suspension hurt us a lot at a critical time. I understand the reasoning 100%, but his presence is missed when he's not on the field and I'm glad to know he'll be there for all of next season. Losing Archon as an active player also hurts because I think the future was bright for him. Ultimately, it's not like our offense has a lot of holes in it, but it just wasn't the same this season. Our defense did improve big time, though. As much as Maddox hurt us on offense, I feel very good with him on defense and I think he's making an impact there. The Defense has room to grow, but I think it's on the right track. I also think that some of these S3 rookies are due to make a big leap of their own in S4.

I'm actually going to wrap this up. Thanks to everyone that asked questions. I look forward to doing another in the future.
Ready for grading.
